At first i was like, why would I need another saturation…But then after a minute I thought of like 20 different ways to use this. Ableton plugins are truly inspiring.
This was an amazingly helpful overview! Very straightforward and clearly written and executed. I would love to see every new Live 12 plugin and feature explained in short, individual videos just like this one. Thanks!
At first I thought it's a pretty cool effect. But then you've dialled it up a notch with multi-band mode and extensive modulation routing. Killer plugin, great job!
Why would you assume that? Because your opinion is different from mine? GTFO. I had one since forever. Personally, I dont like it. So there. @@------YeahOK------
Roar is GOAT. Quickly became one of my most fave stock plugins. I just really wish Ableton would reconsider their modulation matrix for some like drag&drop on parameter, it‘s such a workflow killer right now.
This is amazing, a quite complex effect yet beautifully designed and implemented. All those features are cleverly compacted together and it's such a distortion powerhouse. I absolutely love it! I can see myself using and abusing this in my productions heheh this seems so much fun to play around with. Thanks Ableton 🙏🏻
Cool but I'm not upgrading till the basic workflow issues are fixed. Let us actually edit audio. Multi clip editing still sucks ass. These are deal breakers no matter how shiny the new tool you include is.

@@JumboDubby I don't think you can run Ableton devices in PD. But you xan send in a test signal and then watch the output with a frequency analyzer manually.

Honestly just seeing what it did to lift up the Live 12 demo project was enough to sell me on it
Pardon, my French, but this thing is fucking sick!!! …especially the feedback section and mod section. Why don’t the knobs move when they’re being modulated? That’s kind of lame and I hope you fix that in a future update.
Is it possible for in device LFOs to show the modulation on the knobs... similar to how an added LFO device mapped to the parameter would show the knob changing?
Change please....please... the time option control not only ROAR'$ ....a 30 year old dj mixer fx part have better FX DELAY timing controlling options then now LiVe 12 again... On a old 90's Djm 600 mixer you can choose between steps or floating doted odd even values without a hassle fluently ... Maybe copy a Pioneer fx Device section as solo LIve Fx device for LiVe 13 when you not capable of changing the delays timing funtionality ... Ableton Delay'$ fail or flaws are s big limitation ....unusable specially n a LIVE performance situation without a real Mixer with FX'$.. I dont know why LiV€ miss such important aspect. I bett there is one Dj in your team that knows what Im talking about when it come to mixing and fx's on a real mixer not on NI or Rano software then they miss and have the same flaws ... .....when LIVe Performer use the intern Delays its sound so cheap, wild harsh & sry urrythmical boring stupid ...arghh.,...... but its not on purpuse its a lack of control... ROAr is cool no doubt well thought out. Good Mod.sec. enhancements and features like fdb. now as a intern device option is a big plus... Hope the UI features like big screen option comes not only to RoAR later, it should be added to all big devices old synths & SAMPLER too,.. so the hassle with device tabs nd endless clicks will be reducted and big screens can now more often be used.

OK Ableton there is 2024. How about BOUNCE IN PLACE feature? Or custom hotkeys? Its so disaster for a music tool in 2024 dont have this. Bitwig beats you guys if dont start moving.
Aliasing can be reduced with Hi-Quality selected in the context menu, in the same way saturn has reduced (not zero) aliasing. Linear phase is going to colour the sound arguably worse than phase shift will, especially before saturation. But no, you probably don't need roar if you already paid $129 for saturn. It's great for the rest of us to get a nice advanced saturation plugin as a stock effect that's nicely integrated into the UI though.
I know it's unsolicited advice but the voiceover is a bit loud or EQ'd too bassy or something, hurts my ears a bit when I'm trying to listen to the plugin
