LEARN SESOTHO ( ITHUTE SESOTHO)_01 

As a toddler 3 to 5 years old I lived on a chicken farm near Vereeniging. On the farm I had 3 friends Themba, Mtswani and the third one i can't remember. We were all just little kids having fun. Their parents and mine worked on the farm. I spoke their language fluently. That was 70 years ago!! Later when my family had to sell the farm due to the poultry all getting a bird plague, we moved to Johannesburg so I could go to school. Unfortunately over the years I forgot all my Sesotho except for very few words. I am old now but still remember my Sesotho friends on the farm. I wish to learn it again. Thank you for helping me.

Wow kanti Silozi spoken in Barotseland (Western Zambia and Capri Namibia) is closely related to Sesotho. Numbers is also lipalo. 1 is ñwi pronounced the same is in Sotho, 2 is peli, 3 is talu 4 is ne. Me is na, you(singular) is wena, him/her is yena, us is luna, you (plural) is mina, them is bona. Grace is muhau Peace is kozo Hope is sepo Faith is tumelo Thanksgiving is buitumelo Prayer is tapelo /tato Joy is tabo Father is ndate/tate Mother is ima.. Vowels are pronounced like in portuguese. As portugueses were the first European settlers in SA may be the reason I'm not sure
