@@TheLanguageTutor they are good though the older ones! I am trying to get into the swing of your official channel now. Do you have any advice on how to progressively go through it?
Thanks Danny - came across this channel quite by chance and can’t tell you how great it is learning Spanish with you. Awesome teacher… so well presented and delivered in a simple but interesting manner
I'm going through with all your vids. This is the best! Since we were colonized before, the words and lessons are very familiar. I'm so glad I found you here 🥺 Love from PH 🇵🇭
I had watched you in another channel nut there were only a few vidéos, l cant express how happy l am to find 100 videos of you here as a beginner, l am saved !
Fun fact, the days of the week comes from the Roman names for the planets of the solar system- Lunes- moon,Martes-Mars, Miercoles- mercury,Jueves-jupiter,viernes- Venus,Sabado-Saturn, Domingo-The Sun.
Thank you Dr , Evans Excellent like all your tutorials/lessons.I think your students are exceptionally lucky to have you as their teacher. Wishing you health , happiness and prosperity.
i wish I've found you earlier. I saw your video from AIB and I liked how you draw your visual presentations.. I wanted to see more from your lessons so I searched for your own Channel , so now I'm here. I hope you get millions of subscribers and channels like this are worth watching.. All the best for you Dr. Evans! Thanks for the Free Spanish lessons. I hope I will be fluent soon :D
Muchas Gracias 😊 puedo hablar espanol ahora . - thank you very much 😊I can speak Spanish now 👆🏼I speak English by the way I just written Spanish for fun. Love your videos 🥰
!!! Found you through que hora es and was sad when I finished those classes... so glad you have a whole other channel!! You’re by far the best Spanish teacher I’ve found.
Thank you for these classes. I enjoy your style of teaching - it is very relaxing and easily understood. I find I am having trouble rolling the ‘r ‘ . I wonder if this will make it harder for people to understand me if I cannot roll them. Do you have a lesson on rolling the ‘r’? 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Hey Shanti! Thanks for watching. Here's a segments in my first video that goes over the letter "r". I hope it helps, dont stop practicing! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kJQjXAVEWt0.html
I have taught Spanish for 25 years. Non-native English speakers rarely have pronunciation that sounds just like a native speaker's, but their accents do not hamper communication. So don't let pronouncing the rr become a roadblock. It's relatively unimportant. You'll be understood just fine!
I just wanted to let you know that I am super happy that finally learning Spanish in much easier way than I expected, you're such a great teacher I swear, I'm an egyptain trying to learn languages to communicate with our community in an easier way. I'm super thankful for your effort😊🙏🏻
Love you teaching ....very helpful. You are my teacher. I am learning this on my own. Noone to practice with. Can you do a helper video? 'Te' when to use it ? Food is the food. Comida is el comida. Help please!
Here in the Philippines, we have same translations of the days and months but different spelling. But on the days of the week, the translation of "Sunday" differs. In Filipino language, Sunday is "Linggo" But in Bisaya and Waray dialect (here in Visayas), Sunday is Domingo (sometimes it spelled as "Dominggo).
Started doing self study of Spanish language because of the covid and you are teaching us very well. Learning a lot. Some/most of the words are very similar with our language in the Philippines because of our Spanish history and it helps me to get the words easier. Gracias el maestro! Yo estoy feliz aprender el español.
Hola teacher. May i ask if you have any written file of your lesson or some practice written profile? I think it's a bit hard to learn just by videos learning😂
Thank god, I'm a Filipino. This is so easy for me, the words for the days are the same except for "Sunday" because in Filipino language, Sunday is "Linggo". The words for the months are all the same but not in spelling. (example: March - Marzo - Marso)
im filipino! and so many similar things.. our government abolished spanish classes in our curriculums. though we were under the spanish regime for 333 years
Hello! I spend my work shifts listening to RU-vid with my earbuds and recently decided that instead of listening to video game videos, maybe I'd try and learn a language instead! Your videos are very helpful. I've spent that last three days listening to the alphabet on repeat until I learned it. Now I'm doing the same with this video. All is going well except with Wednesday and April. Those two words are tricky to pronounce. Thanks for all you do!
In the Philippines, some of our local dialects include Bisaya, particularly in Cebu. Way back in our history, Spain controlled our country. Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer, was commissioned by Spain to find a westward route to the Spice Islands. He landed in the Philippines in 1521 and claimed it for Spain. This marked the beginning of Spanish colonization, which lasted for over 300 years. During this time, Spanish culture, including the language, had a profound influence on the Philippines. It's fascinating how the days of the week in Spanish are similar to some Philippine dialects! Thanks for sharing this video.❤❤❤
I agree! Definitely one of the best Spanish teachers! I have learned so much and relearned what I was taught in high school that I thought I forgot and it started coming back to me once I started these lessons and now I’m addicted to this channel and learning Spanish ❤️❤️❤️ I’m so excited and can’t wait to start speaking with others!
Just stumbled on this channel, viewed, then wondering why its so similar in our country We in #The_Philippines call days: Monday = Lunes Tuesday = Martis Wednesday = Miyerkules Thursday = Huwibes Friday = Biyernes Saturday = Sabado Sunday = Linggo (also Domingo but Linggo is more frequently used over Domingo) Months: Jan = Enero Feb = Pebrero March = Marso April = Abril May = Mayo June = Hunyo July = Hulyo August= Augusto Sept = Setyembre Oct = Oktobre Nov = Nobyembre Dec = Desyembre Its so funny how similar it they are with the Spanish_language but differ in spelling. 😅😄😆😂
as a filipino, this lesson is so easy for me 😂 that's literally the filipino translation for our days. except for sunday, in spanish, it's domingo but in filipino, it's linggo. sounds a like. and to the months, it's also the same omg. the lesson is not hsrd for me yayy im so happy
Days Lunes - Понеделник Martes - Вторник Miércoles - Сряда Jueves - Четвъртък Viernes - Петък Sabado Domingo Los dias - дни Enrero Febrero Marzo Abril Mayo Junio Julio Agosto Septiempbre Octubre Noviebre Deciembre Los messes - месеци
Lunes represents Luna or Moon....In Hindi and Sanskrit....We call it Som-var (सोमवार)....Som or सोम is Moon...Luna... or चंद्रमा.... Similarly, for Tuesday.....We have martes.......Here...It seems associated with "Maruti" or Hindu god Hanuman....In India, we call it Mangalwar ( मंगलवार) directly associated with Lord Hanuman Ji....It all could be a coincidence or a trace of suppressed history and civilisation.🙏
Thank you! So if I want to start my español diary, on the top, should I start with el sábado de 19 (diecinueve de febrero 2022 (dos mil veinte dos) OR 19 de febrero 2022 el sábado
Great job! 😄
Nací en abril. Just a little tip for the pronunciation of y as a consonant: it sounds more like the g in George. Well, that's where I live. I know that it is pronounced differently in other parts of the world. In Bolivia, for example, they pronounce it more like in Enlgish. In Paraguay and parts of Argentina, it's pronounced /dz/ as in George. However, in Uruguay and some parts of Argentina, it's pronounced like sh in shower. I know. It's a nightmare for learners of Spanish.
