Shlamalokh! I’m an Assyrian myself and now trying to learn how to write and read in Assyrian. It’s pretty hard to find a well explained video about the alphabet so I would like to thank you so much for these videos! Thank you for this video. I’m a native Armenian and I want to learn Assyrian. The video is very informative and simple. However, the moment with Western and Eastern dialects is a little bit confusing, although my mother tongue has Western and Eastern dialects too, but I hope I’ll learn this stunning language.

No problem! It is normal that it feels related the Hebrew letters and their names are based on the Assyrian alphabet. Both are also Semetic languages, the languages are family ;)

Thank you, very interesting! as a Hebrew speaker its so similar.. in israel we use some Aramaic sentences like "bish gada" which means bad luck

I wached your vids several times and they're really nice! I just saw your video a few minutes ago with laoshu505000 and couldn't believe it when you said that you were from Belgium because I am from Belgium to!! Ik zou zo graag Arameens leren spreken en schrijven maar weet niet waar of hoe ik moet beginnen naast het alfabet.. Ik heb geen voorkennis van arabisch of herbreeuws maar heb wel de nodige motivatie om deze mooie taal te willen beheersen. Thanks and keep doing your thing !

this is so good and helpful would you be ok making a video of the lord's prayer? i watch many and see some different pronunciations, with b and v, some say aboon, some avoon, and so on they can sound a little different and some are sung which is lovely but not so good for speaking, would like to hear how yours sounds as looking to learn to speak it

Greetings Daniel I focus on what is known as the dialects of Neo-Aramaic or Assyrian. So the Western and Eastern dialects of this bigger branch also known as Assyrian-Aramaic. This group of dialects part of Eastern-Aramaic. What you are referring to is a Western-Aramaic dialect which I have no specialisation in. I'm sorry!
