Crys'dawna - you are a paint tech genius. Your teaching patience is awesome. Thank you because after watching you do this technique, I don't feel so intimidated. I will began with a small piece of furniture.
Yes start small and just practice practice!! Thank you so much Shirley you are always so loving and supportive so thank you from the bottom of my heart :)
Bella you are the best in explaining how to do things when it comes to blending thank you so much for taking out the time and doing it step-by-step I watch other channels and their cameras never come as close to the furniture to really see the depth Of how you actually do it other people do not show it as great as you do the camera is usually far away and everything is really good from far but you really go into depth with it and show all the little scenarios that a person has to watch out for when it comes to painting with chalk paint keep up the great work love watching your Tutorials they’re always the best
That's terrific!! Finally a blending tutorial I can understand and actually do. Its so soft and looks so cohesive.. Enjoyed watching your little daughter be creative in her own space while Mama works..
Can I make a suggestion? I forgot to save this video 1st time around and was looking for it for quite a bit. I think if “blending sides” or “blending on flat surfaces” would be in the title more people would be able to see it.
I want so badly to do a blended boho look on a piece but have been nervous to try it. Any other blending videos of yours that you could recommend to me would be SOOOO appreciated. I follow your blog religiously but watching the videos is so helpful to me as I am a visual learner. Also, did you use a stencil on the front of this piece? Love it! How I wish I were an heir to some kind of fortune so I could have gotten tickets to come see Crackle, Mould, Crys'Dawna! Some day I'll save up enough. Maybe once my child is in college. Hahaha! For now I read, watch and ask questions that hopefully you get a moment in your very busy days to answer. Thank you for all you share with fellow gypsy souls ❤❤❤
You have addressed doing sides before, in this video! And it’s great! I found it super helpful. The first side came out great. I mean it COULD be better, but I’m trying not to be a perfectionist. The blend is fantastic though. The other side… Absolutely terrible. And if I try to fix it I just make it worse. I followed your video real time for both sides. I’m using Dixie Belle paint. But after doing the darkest color on the edges and then that second Circle of middle blue (bunker hill in this vid), my paint kept getting stuck and gummy in a couple spots. Water and a neutral brush wasn’t working. It wasn’t moving fluidly and if I added more water, it just got worse!! So, I stepped away for a whole day, came back and sanded it down since the paint was so uneven. Tried again… Less paint but more water this time. For whatever reason this side hates me 😫. Have you ever had the paint do that? If so how do you handle it? It was no longer blending and just building up. No matter the brush, the water amount or paint amount. Thanks so much
girl I totally understand!! walk away for a day or two on those piece IF you can, they will suck you in and make you want to light them on fire lol you got this girl!
Hi, Crys’Dawna. I know this is an old video but I love what I can see of this piece. Is there anywhere that I can see the entire piece? Can you please tell me what transfer you used on the front? Thanks. Susan
