Many thanks, enjoyed the split screen shots. I do enjoy playing the drop shot , I believe it's one of my stronger shots , played between smashes it can often catch your opponent out. I still enjoy practising it hoping to improve on the disguise. Thanks coach.
Hi D K! A video without your comment just doesn’t feel complete😁🏸. Thank you for always appreciating the details, like in this video the split screen. Glad to know you enjoy practicing drops, i’m guessing you’re probably good at it & you most likely have those deceptive shots... 😉🏸
Hi Kennie, would you recommend making a slight adjustment towards a panhandle grip to ensure a clean contact, or should any such adjustment happen naturally during the stroke? Lastly, a request for a video: please would you consider making a tutorial on how to aim (for overheads, lifts, net shots etc.). This is a topic that I've not seen covered anywhere for badminton.
As long as you are subscribed to my channel, you will be notified when I upload new videos. I will definitely have one on doubles rotation and many other topics... 🏸😁
Make adjustments with your movement. I suspect you pull down your elbow upon hitting which drags down the shuttle to the net. Be conscious to finish hitting the shot before swinging the whole arm down😁🏸
@@CoachKennieAsuncion Haha! Yes I agree coach, she is very cute indeed! :D And most of the time she always wins in the tournament :) I want to play with her someday if i have given an opportunity. :D BTW coach. I just want to inquire if how much would it cost me if I want to get a training from you? Thank you.
I coach at Asuncion Badminton Center & we have group classes. For now I cannot accommodate one on ones. For rates and schedules pls call 8-7252568 or check the Asuncion Badminton Center Website. Thank you!! 😁
Mam! whenever i push the shuttle back or smash it always drops out of the court. Please mam suggest me to improve this ,so that i can make an accurate smash😥😥
Hello Po, I've some questions on the grip and arm movement during the smash shot. Is it the pronation of the arm or the flexion of the wrist that is needed for a perfect smash shot?
The pronation and flexion are both important factors when doing the smash. The rotation of your arm should be done smoothly & naturally while bending of your elbow need to be comfortable in order for you to execute a good smash. These 2 come together hand in hand but how will you know if it’s right? Watch the video, also watch different players when they execute their smashes, try the movement until you feel like its natural movement... we will do more videos on smash as it is easier to explain showing how its done as opposed to explaining it through text. But thank you for a good question. I hope my reply shed light to your question. 🏸🏸
Oh yes, I think I've just realized what you wanted to convey and it sums up to the fact smashing depends on one's natural movement. In my case, the rotation of the wrist/flexion also works. Thanks po

Seriously I didn't like the drops of ur student shuttlecocks are dropping ahead of service line all the times whereas they are to be placed before service line most of the time.
Thank you for your insight and i do agree with you drops are more effective closer to the net... we just put more emphasis on the execution and how to do the drop in this video and just the simple angle of making sure shot goes down. Dont worry will make another video in the future specifically tackling the importance of the drop being near the net and what its advantage are as opposed to the longer drops! Thank you! 😁🏸
Well, i will not say that it’s wrong if you are comfortable with that and your shots are going in as you want them then that is fine😁🏸 I encourage hitting it higher for the angle making shots steeper🏸🏸
On the one side I do like ur videos. They are very informative and easy to understand, but on the other side I hate the way u're talking so much more. It is damn annoying and makes me aggressive to listening to it. Am I the only one? Idk I might be strange...
Thank you for your comment. You found the videos informative probably bec i keep reinforcing what I teach. Not everyone can grasp an idea or thought hearing it one time. Of course you have the right to have a prefence for coaches/teachers talking less. But one tip to be a better player is to control one’s temperament; otherwise your opponent will just annoy you to beat you. If you can’t control your emotions, you can’t control the shuttle😁🏸
