A parallel shift would be very close however, this is a diamond to half diamond shift. If it was at a half diamond it would be an additional quarter shift since a quarter is half of a half. @@poolteacher have 2 questions pertaining to this video. #1... on the angle in, angle out system where 1/2 diamond is 3 and 3rd diamond would be in corner pocket, if cue ball is not in direct line for the shot using centerball hit, since I know you are a big fan of Spot On The Wall technique, could you find spot on the wall for a reference shot using your formula, 1/2 for spot 3 and 3 diamond for corner pocket, use this for spot on the wall and shoot the cueball to that spot on the wall with centerball or follow and get the same result? #2 is similar to one but for reverse english system? Do the calculation like from spot 6, OB at position 3 on short rail = 18 0n first rail hit - 5 is equal to 13 on first rail use spot on the wall for reference to actually hit that spot with cueball in a different position on table to get same results? Hope you understand where I'm coming from. Just trying a system to alleviate for any position within reason of cueball location.

Great question! You are 100 percent correct! If you notice in the video the corner system is struck with just a touch more draw. The end rail system is just more of a reverse not hardly as much draw (not as much follow through). Hope that answers your question. It's just a little different hit and in the video if you go back and watch, one is hit at about a sixteenth of an inch higher than the other and more to the left slightly. This was pictured on the cue ball in the video (bottom right corner) . I said 8:00 in both of the diagrams. Maybe I should have said with more draw on the corner system. Excellent question and you were very perceptive. Its almost the same hit one just has a touch of draw and a touch more spin.

@@poolteacher this system works very nice. I made 8/9 tries. I noticed the cue ball did a nice job of "escaping" the corner after kicking the ball as well. Do you have a shift system for when object ball is near center table? (Away from the rails)

@@MJ18883 just connect the dots. If the ball is on the line you will hit it.

@@poolteacher only thing I don't like is the Q is moving in an arc, making the predicted spot in the middle of the table harder to be precise. I did notice instead of subtracting 5, shoot with 830 English on the 2-to-1 line and it is a natural Z kick to the opposite corner for up to about 6 diamonds of distance. Works great at 4 diamonds, very dialed in.

Yes. 2 different amounts of spin. The first system requires a little more draw.

Yes as long as they are twice as long as they are wide!

As I said before there is no system that accurate. Nice thought though. Too many overarching factors.

That is absolutely true and correct. Draw a line from the rail point to the end rail point and if your object ball is on that line "bam". Works like a charm! Thanks for watching! I have a 9ft Gold Crown Brunswick table too, but with no ball return, TIGHT pockets. I'm older now, bad heart, just love pool, trying to get a little better. Yes, they do but you have to make a slight adjustment because the cue ball is not going directly into the rail and tends to slide off more. It's probably a 2-3 inch adjustment on the end rail.
