I'm 59 years old. Pure maths was not explained with this kind of clear and step like explaination those days. You just made me feel like a 17 old again. Thank you😊
So is that a compliment ? 🤪 u literally just said pure math wasn't explained that good at those times but then again you said he just made u feel like 17 again🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
@@saadsohail4690 Bruh you really didn't understand what he said? This brought him back to his formative years because these things should be learned then. However, his teachers didn't teach well so he didn't grasp this concepts. Now that the man in the video has explained it well it brought him back to when he was younger. Stop trying to disagree just so you can feel better about yourself. It makes you look like a fool.
@@saadsohail4690 Are you joking?? come on learn comprehension and reading skills. He said that pure math was not explained with this kind of clear and step like explanation those days but now in this generation everything mathematical is more understood and explained better. Such a fool.......
I have a test in 48 hours on this, thank you so much!!! Taught it better in 20 minutes than my teacher did in 2 weeks of hour and a half classes! definitely subscribing!
You get two weeks on one lesson?! Lucky you! Lol. We learn three different ways of doing something in one class and three more the next class. It’s ridiculous. 🤷♀️
I enjoy re-learning algebra after a 60 year hiatus. When the political landscape gets so toxic, I can't take any more, I find solace in the certainty and purity of math. You are a good teacher, and it's all starting to come back now. Plus I like the flexibility of the tablet presentation over many others I have seen. Thank you!
If you had a 60 year hiatus from algebra, what does that tell you about the importance of algebra other than a job for a teacher? They kept telling us "You'll need this some day." But somehow we had a good life without it.
Have viewed your excellent tutorial. I am 83 years old and have forgotten some of the stuff that was taught to me in those years. Trying to help my grand son with his work. By viewing your tutorial some of it is coming out of storage. Thank you.
Im 11 :') our school teaches us barely anything useful and then they send us to highschool expecting everyone to know all of this, So i have to teach myself since highschool is in 6 months '3' Barely anyone in my class can even spell
Again another superb presentation. Good maths teachers take it "slow" and repeat certain steps to get the abstract concepts across to the student. These short videos are wonderful tools for anyone interested in maths, or needs revision at basic levels. Thank you again for the deliberate stressing of important points like using brackets and signs.
I am a mom with 2 children, i am here because my daughter told me she hate math subject, she said it’s really hard to understand 😅 thank you so much for sharing , the way you teach is easy to understand , you help many students and also many parents ❤
I encountered this formula for solving quadratic functions over fifty years ago in school. It was so drummed into me for memorization, that I can recite it to this day.
Excellent explanation. Wonderful, neat & professional video. And like the comments below, you explained clearly in 20 minutes what I missed in 2 inclusion class periods due to duties elsewhere. I was following along with my Ti-Inspire software and was frustrated by the errors in typing in the wrong signs. Thanks to your clear & concise steps I was able to correct and follow to the correct conclusions. Bookmarked for Texas STAAR prep coming up in a few weeks. Thanks a bunch.
Great video, I, as an adult tried and tried to handle that formula, and more often than not, I came up woth wrong answers. I always got to the end part, but, that is where I lost it. Now I know what to do in future. I did that problem, and, as usual, lost it at very end. I square rooted the 64,,,, then divided the 8 by the 2, came up with X = 6 or X = -2. (not that it does me any good, I am just interested in maths as a past time to keep the 74 yr old brain active. Thanks
Thank you. Great refresher. I made it to Calculus 2 in university but really have not used math even close to that level ever since (40 years ago). I had forgotten how to solve a quadratic equation. Retired now, enjoy puzzles and really enjoy your channel. Many thanks for this extremely well done video.
This was seriously so helpful I appreciate it so much, I have to take a placement test and I haven’t taken this type of math is about 4 years so it was very refreshing and you have a great teaching technique!
Thank you for the video, its been a LONG time since I did any of this in high school, and I wanted to refresh my memory of algebra to assist my daughter and nieces / nephew's as they are going into algebra. Your video did an excellent job of helping me recall the basics.
I'm a math teacher giving this lesson in a few days and you really helped me figure out the best way to break this down for my kids. I sped through this a bit last year and it was a disservice to them - this will really help me break things down. Thank you!
This saved me from summer school, I hadn't done any of my math for 3 months and now I have 2 days to do it, and I forgot everything since I didn't do it for 3 months.
Good evening and a very big thank you to you. You have helped me as a homeschool mother. I had no idea what on earth this was and tried watching some videos. I came here and your non intimidating teaching style has made me understand. Wow. What a relief. May God bless your life. 👍😲🇿🇦👌🙏🙏
Thanks dude, I just used this to solve for t (time) in the d=V0t+1/2at^2 equation...just like you said, I screwed it up in replacing the a,b,c values. Put them in correctly and got the right t.
I just came across a quadratic formula on the internet and it looked impossible. I got curious and found this video, now I'm ahead in my classes lol (I'm 15) . Thank you
Well done! I am curious about the presentation graphics you use ... what program serves as your platform, i.e., that what we, the viewer, see online? I'd like to use this when reaching out to other math instructors and students via the Internet. Thank you!
Thank you for this example I now understand how to do quadratic formulas. I wish my teacher could explain it like this. Going through the steps and seeing how to do it help me a lot.
Thank you so much I was about to CRY!! lol you made this beast of an equation look simple AND highlighted the places where I always messed up. Great work!
Thank you thank you thank you so much for this video, you made this seem so easy. This is the 10th video I have watched and they were all confusing except this one. Thank you again
Wow. It’s so helpful, especially how you go slow and give your own perspective as a math teacher. “I’m sure i’m probably a little bit over ten minutes but who cares” xD
Hi Aleks, your approach of maths makes it easier to understand, good points for that. What is a bit chaotic however is your perception of time. So far after watching a number of your explanations you never seem to be able to do it in the spacetime or should I say timespace you estimated. When you say « in 10 minutes », does this mean « 10 minutes » or « at least 10 minutes »?
I think I have different way to solve these that would equally to zero. Or i find out what is my _b +minus and inside the square root. I have to know what is _b Square + minus 4a × c÷ by 2a x should be square as one which is my a the square root of 1 is 1 because 1* 1 is = to 1 which is my a my _ b + minus and do my mutiply 4 × C over 2a. I cannot do all in my phone I need paper to do all my explanations because this is a long problems to solve so far and so good. Aw media is so great to explained. You sound like my great professor in class. I am going to missed him this short break we had for school because of corona. Thanks a lot to media to work out this things for us. Great video.
Thank you so much man. Its ridiculous how my teacher doesn't teach at all and all she does is assign worksheets and other useless garbage. I'd been stuck on a problem for a while and this video helped me so much. Thanks man.
I'm looking for the y=mx + b video and I need to see it graphed. As an older adult, some of this stuff has escaped me, or I never learned it because I was too busy fooling around. I appreciate all your videos. This is a good one. Hey! Look what's next. Very good.
Thank you so much I have my Geometry EOC tomorrow, and thanks to my Algebra I class being cut off last year thanks to COVID, I had never heard of this formula and was really worried. But now I know thanks to this video. thank you i feel great about the quadratic formula now
The negatives in the formulas are what i want to ask my teacher about but too shy to go in front of class... So thank you so much for this video and the tips to plug and recheck.
