I'm struggling with student loan debt after taking courses at Devry University for programming, and I can't seem to get a job doing programming yet. It seems very difficult to get a job here in the US as a programmer if you're approaching 50 like I am. Still, I have always wanted to learn programming and will never give up learning and practicing writing code. If I could be so lucky to get a job paying more than I am making now to cover the cost of my loans, I'd be over the moon with joy. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You're one of the few coders I watch here on RU-vid as my go-to for more learning. Maybe with part of my tax refund I'll be able to buy a subscription to learn more, but I'm afraid your 15% off will be over by then.

@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
While it is possible, I don't recommend it if you are a beginner. C# is more versatile as a language and it will allow us to focus more on problem solving, but when you finish the course you'll be capable to replicate it in any other language if you want. Also, there are some things that are available for C# and not for C++, things like LINQ (which will allow us to query different datasources, like collections, XMLs, databases), events and delegates, C# has built in support for event driven programming, so we'll be able to handle user interactions with our application, things like clicking buttons, entering text, etc. Also, asynchronous programming which we'll use a lot in order to improve the performance of our application. C# has better options and it's easier to work and manipulate with strings, multithreading, it has powerful libraries, etc. It is going to be hard for you to navigate through this on your own when you are first learning, but once you finish the course, then you'll have no problem to switch to other languages because at that point you'll have a good understanding of how it all works, and you'll be able to overcome these differences between languages on your own or with some googling. Also, for me it was very important that all the tools that we use in this course are free, and while both C# and C++ have strong IDE support, C# is primarily associated with the Visual Studio IDE which we can use for free (super helpful so that you don't have to pay anything else besides this course) It also provides advanced tools for code editing, debugging, and project management, and we'll use all those a lot for our C# app. 😃

Saldina, I already have a job which I got thanks to your programming videos. I studied for 6 months from your videos and got a job. I know some people will say 6 months is too long, and some people sell courses to earn a lot of money very fast, overnight, but I dont believe in those scams. I already earn more than my parrents and that is thanks to you, I've studied hard but I'll never forget that you were my teacher. I was so happy that your course is out, because I know that I can do better, so I'm getting your course and I know that in 5 years I'll also be able to earn $20k. Maybe I'm not as smart as you, because you are very talented my lovely teacher, maybe it will take me a few more years, but I don't mind, I'm in this for the long run and I know that I will make it big if I keep learning. What is the main difference between c++ and C sharp? Also, let’s say if someone chooses the monthly option but cancels after 3 months, will they still have access to what was available during the time they had the subscription? Or does everything go away?
@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
Hey, if you study regularly, 3 months is enough to finish the majority of the course, and if you unsubscribe, you'll still have access to the code, which is going to be more than enough if you already watched the lessons. In any case, by the end of the third month, if you learn during that time, you'll see for yourself that it was worth every penny. Hope this answers your question, and I hope to see you join our community, we need more girls! 🥰 I can't wait to witness your progress.

And the resons why I picked C# is because there are some things that are available for C# and not for C++, things like LINQ (which will allow us to query different datasources, like collections, XMLs, databases), events and delegates, C# has built in support for event driven programming, so we'll be able to handle user interactions with our application, things like clicking buttons, entering text, etc. Also, asynchronous programming which we'll use a lot in order to improve the performance of our application. @CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
Hey, thanks for commenting, I also gave this a long thought, and I went with a subscription model for one main reason: flexibility! With monthly or 3-month subscriptions, some students can finish the course much faster (3-6 months) if they study regularly, and they can save some $$$. But for busy people with jobs, a yearly subscription offers more time to learn at their own pace. 😄

@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
Topics like SOLID principles, design patterns are quite advanced, but that is why I worked a year and a half on this course, and the tough part for me was to make it beginner friendly and also to make gradual transitions and cover more complex subjects all in one go. And I can proudly say that I've achieved that. Majority of the lessons are still not published because I plan to put them out every few days, we'll comment on the solutions, problems, discuss different approaches, and there will be additional help for anyone who needs it. So yes, the course is beginner friendly, and if you know how to create a variable in any programming language, and if you know what an if-else statement is, it's enough for you to start. But because of all the knowledge that you'll get in this course, every lesson is another building block that leans on the previous one, so it is very important that you don't skip any lesson. Hope this answers your question and I hope to see you join our community, and I can't wait to witness your progress. 😊

I promise to teach you everything that you need to know to start a successful programming career. You will learn all of that in this course, so you don't have to purchase any other courses. But how long it will take deppends on your focus and effort. Most people are learning for 2-3 hrs per day (weekends are off days) and it takes around 6 months to go from zero to hero. If you are learning more, than maybe you can do it faster. But remember that it is important that you don't skip lessons, and that you follow the entire plan that I created, because you'll need all of the knowledge from he course. 😃

C# is more suitable, because C# with Xamarin and .NET MAUI (Multi-platform App UI) can achieve native-level performance for most mobile applications. C# can be used with frameworks like Xamarin or .NET MAUI to develop cross-platform mobile applications that run on both Android and iOS devices. 😄

Could you provide an explanation or additional resources for those who need to start from the basics and progress to more advanced topics?
@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
Hey, thanks for posting this question. So, here's the scoop: this course isn't your typical language-focused course. I've created many tutorials that are focused on invididual concepts for free. I even have full courses on a specific language and crash courses on my channel, on FreeCodeCamp, TraversyMedia and so on. I've created those videos for free because it takes me a few days to make those videos. People who make courses know that it is easy to create a list of concepts of a specific language and explain them in individual short examples, but watching that course will not make you an excelent programmer. The goal of this course is to dive deep into real problems. I've put a year and a half into this course, and here is why, let me give you an example. Imagine you've been working on a massive application for two whole years. It's your baby - your pride and joy. And to top it off, you've got one client who's shelling out $100k every single month to use it. Talk about a sweet deal, right? But then, out of the blue, another client comes knocking. They're interested in your app, but there's a catch - they want it to work with a different database. And hey, they've got their reasons, security, they don't trust anyone else's database. Now, you're faced with a tough choice: stick with what you've got and miss out on another $100k per month, or find a way to make it work for both clients and cash in $200k per month. What will you do, and most importantly, how will you do it? That's where this course comes in. We're diving deep into real-world problems, hundreds of them, just like this one. I'm talking about scenarios that you won't find in any other coding tutorial. We're solving the tough stuff - the kind of challenges that separate the pros from the rest. And by the time you're done with this course, you'll be lightyears ahead of your peers. You'll have the skills and the know-how to solve any problem that comes your way. The tough part for me was to make this course beginner friendly and also to make gradual transitions and cover more complex subjects all in one go. That's why it took me a year and a half, and I can proudly say that I've achieved that. Majority of the lessons are still not published because I plan to put them out every few days, we'll comment on the solutions, problems, discuss different aproaches, and there will be additional help for anyone who needs it. So yes, the course is beginner friendly, and if you know how to create a variable in any programmign language, and if you know what is if-else statement, it's enough for you to start. If you don't you can check out the first few videos on my channel for free. But because of all the knowledge that you'll get in this course, every lesson is another building block that leans on the previos one, so it is very important that you don't skip any lesson. Hope this answers your question and I hope to see you join our community, and I can't wait to witness your progress.

How to memorize and not forget c/c++ programing language for beginers?
@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
As with anything, practice practice practice. Also, don't focus on memorizing the code. Focus on understanding the problem and the solution for it. Once you develop good problem solving skills, working in any programming language will not be a problem. It's like when you learn to drive a car, and later, if you switch to another car, you still know how to drive, and it only takes a few days of adjusting. We'll solve a lot of practical problems in this course, and there is more than enough practical exercises for you to get a good understanding of this.😊

@Codebeauty Hi Saldina, thanks for the video, and congratulations on your career success and the launch of your course. Are you an independent contractor now or are you working with a company? The reason I ask is the salary you mentioned is high (at least where I live for software developers). Either congrats to you and I wish the best.

Hallo Saldina. I recently came across information about your course, and I'm excited about the prospect of enrolling in it. From what I've seen, it appears to offer valuable insights and skills that align closely with my professional aspirations. Before proceeding further, I have a few questions I would appreciate your help with: - Course Content: Could you provide a detailed overview of the topics covered in the course? I'm particularly interested in understanding the specific skills and knowledge I'll gain upon completion. -I'm genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn from you and am eager to take the next steps toward enrolling in your course. Any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Would you provide any mentorship and real life exercises or projects during the course?
@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 4 месяца назад
Hey 👋 I'll put a link to the website where you can see the most important topics that will be covered in the course (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) because RU-vid limits the size of the comment, so I can't paste all the topics here. [Here's the link: www.codebeautyacademy.com/ All the lessons are pre-filmed so that you can watch them at your convenience and whenever you want to learn. There are a lot of practical examples, tasks, and we also have a community that you can join and there you can ask questions, get help, or just share experiences with other developers and collaborate. In the course, we are building one big application where you'll have the opportunity to see in practice all of the most important programming concepts (beginner and advanced). You might wonder why we're focusing on just this one big project instead of lots of smaller ones. Well, it's because this big project gives us the chance to cover all those really important advanced concepts that you would never see in small projects, so that you can get career-ready skills that can be applied in practice to solve a wide variety of problems and real-world apps. And I'd say that the most important part is that everything is in one place and explained step-by-step, so that by the end of the course, you'll be able to solve real problems with programming, and you'll be able to do it independently, and all the skills that you'll learn in this course will be transferable to any OOP language. 😄

@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад

Pozdrav, RK P.S. Mnogo mi je zao sto nisam pronasao tvoj kanal kad si pocela s istim (pocetak korone 2020).

Is there a reason the link does not work when a VPN is active?
@CodeBeauty
@CodeBeauty 5 месяцев назад
There is 😁 It doesn't know what's on the link address because it is a shortened link. I made it with bit.ly, which is a link shortener that allows you to add tracking and see statistics of how many people click and visit the site. I made a separate link for each one of my social media platforms to see which one will engage the most people. 💡 You shouldn't have any problems if you visit this link directly, but then I'll not see that you visited in my statistics www.codebeautyacademy.com/courses/practical-programming-course I like your question. It's a smart question! Shortened links can hide the actual destination URL, making it easier for malicious people to disguise phishing websites, so if you don't trust the author of the link it's better not to click on it. Some VPN services may block or restrict access to certain websites or domains, including URL shortening services like Bitly, as a security measure. security is very important and it will also be one of the topics in the course. You'll learn some common ways that hackers use to steal data or cause data loss to the applications, and I'll teach you how to protect your apps. 😄 Btw. if you intend to buy the course, I'm not 100% sure if the payment processor will accept your payment if you have VPN on, because of different international restrictions. 😄

And that's one more clue why i like this lady at first place. Without i know it, you have similar path with me, while you've studied language on senior high school mine on the college level. as trivial thing learning human languages it's way too hard than programming languages. as a proof there a lot of people out there knowing foreign languages less than your fingers count on. while a lot of people who can learn more languages than you can count on your fingers. It takes years for me learning this programming stuff, and when i though i'm ready i proposed jobs and lucky me, even my competitor most of them from IT from colleges, but still i've got my first job on my country, work for government. Hi, Saldina do you believe in people that have some similar path in their life have similar result the way they develop in life too? For fellas out there, learning programming stuff not something that too hard, you just need courage and consistency on learning and practicing, just like i've said learning human languages more difficult than this kind of stuff

Hey Magda, Thanks for reaching out! 😊 I read your email, and I wanted to reply here so everyone can benefit from the info. I totally get your interest in the course, you're more than welcome to purchase it, but I feel it's important for me to tell you that you can just watch the lessons and you wouldn't be able to write the code on your Mac. Some Mac users decided to join the course, they found a workoround and borrowed a Windows laptop until they finish the course, and all of them have very positive feedback. If you can use a Windows PC for a few months, I promise this course will be totally worth it for you! ps: Even an older Windows laptop will do because I'll teach you how to optimize your code and apps so that they don't take a lot of resources. 😊

We're writing C#, but you'll be able to understand all programming languages after this course and work in any language that you want after a few days of adjusting. Like when you learn to drive a car, and then you get another car, it is really not that different, just a few days of getting used it. The reason is beacuse I'm teaching problem solving skills, concepts and logic that is the same across all programming languages, and students understand it depth and not just memorize the code

That's a great question! The reason I chose C# is because of its incredible versatility. Learning it will not only give you solid problem-solving skills but also a deep understanding of programming principles that you can apply across all other languages throughout your entire career. It's like building a strong foundation for endless possibilities! 😁 With C#, I could cover all the important concepts in such a way that if you finish this course, you'll be grateful that you did for the rest of your career. 😊
