Thank you bardwell for these videos. Your steps so well thought out. Every time I venture out on my own and start to struggle I come back here and guaranteed the next lesson addresses the issue I've been having. Something a lot of these types of lessons leave out though is the importance of taking breaks. Your mind needs time to write all the new skills you've learned and if you find yourself struggling with the next lesson, take a break. Come back tomorrow, warm up on things you're comfortable with, and then the new skill will probably be a lot easier to pick up.

I just did my first split S IRL today! This series has been amazing, thank you so much for it.I started off in the DRL sim, with an XB1 controller before moving to an ELRS radio that came with my 2.5". Slogging through DRL training, constantly being reset every time I would stray a few feet off course was unproductive and frustrating. Following your series in Freestyle made my learning take off like a rocket🚀

I started FPV in 2020 and you can always rely on Joshua I can tell we have a small community because out of all people you should have at least a couple million subscribers but hey what can I say can’t everybody fly FPV we just make it look easy 🙃🤟🏾

Was just watching your other video yesterday on power loops as I'm trying to tighten mine up. Looking forward to the tips in this one.

0:13 Bridge Power Loops 6:59 Thrust Vector Understanding 9:03 Variations and Fun Moves In this video lesson, the focus is on enhancing power loops with FPV drones. The instructor introduces a new challenge by incorporating a bridge feature in the Bando city map for practicing power loops. By utilizing the building next to the bridge as a reference point, pilots can improve their technique by adjusting their flight path based on visual cues. The goal is to execute smooth and round power loops while maintaining consistent altitude throughout the maneuver. As the lesson progresses, pilots are encouraged to tighten up their power loops by flying closer to the bridge structure. This requires precise control over throttle and pitch stick inputs to complete tighter loops within a defined circle. The instructor emphasizes the importance of understanding thrust vectors and aerodynamic dynamics through mastering power loop maneuvers. By refining these skills, pilots can enhance their overall control and maneuverability with FPV drones. Furthermore, pilots are introduced to advanced variations of power loop maneuvers, such as adding flips at the top of the loop or transitioning from a split S maneuver into a power loop under the bridge. These advanced techniques challenge pilots to maintain smooth transitions and precise control over throttle management during complex aerial maneuvers. The lesson concludes with an exploration of a unique move involving pitching forward halfway through a power loop to create a sense of moving backward, showcasing creativity and skill in freestyle drone flying. Overall, this lesson provides valuable insights into honing piloting skills with FPV drones through structured practice sessions focused on mastering power loop maneuvers and exploring advanced aerial techniques. By emphasizing precision, control, and creativity in flight maneuvers, pilots can elevate their drone flying abilities and unlock new possibilities for dynamic aerial performances.

Ploop ain't a trick is the way that a quad change direction enters a gap its essential move for flying with split s 😉

I would think you would have zero throttle at the top to maintain altitude but I see on your smoothest, tightest loops you barely go under 50%. Can you explain?
@JoshuaBardwell
@JoshuaBardwell Месяц назад
The faster and tighter the loop, the more you need to stay on throttle throughout.
