I use both. I think Parallels' user experience is just better; the sharing between my mac and Linux/Windows is just seamless. However, VMWare is more like a real machine, and you can expect most things to behave the same on a VMWare virtual machine and on a real machine; Parallels has problems in OpenGL support, wireless connection, bridge mode, etc.
