Cut a padding cord about a foot long and fold in half.
Sl st onto middle of the padding cord.
Work 20dc over the two strands of padding cord. Sl st to form a ring. Pull cord to tighten ring. 1dc into each of next 3dc, 3ch, sl st into last dc (picot made), (4dc, picot)x4, 1dc into each of next 2dc.
(Over cord only, work 15dc, dc into dc space between the next two picots)x5 finishing last dc into middle dc between last and first picots.
1dc into each of next 3dc, 4ch, sl st into last dc (picot 2 made), (3dc, picot 2)x3, 1dc into each of next 2dc, miss last dc on this 15dc group.
*Miss 1st dc on next 15dc group, 1dc into each of next 2dc, picot 2, (3dc, picot 2)x3, 1dc into each of next 2dc, leaving last dc free. Repeat from *3 more times and fasten off.
