Thankyou sooo much. Donna you are very thorough. I appreciate HOW you teach. I'm 56 yrs old in one wk. Bought our home 14 yrs ago. This is very informative and helpful! My little sister was a very gifted artist, she passed away in 2016. I wish I could paint like you and like she could so I’m trying to learn. My sister, Sam had your books , I have them now. She was a huge fan of yours. You make it look so easy. I love watching you paint. It’s beautiful.

Thank you! I've been wanting to learn to paint to relieve anxiety and distract myself from chronic illness. I'm not expecting to become a Master Artist LOL - I'm just very inspired by the beauty, creativity and options that art has to offer! I'm mesmerized by the Artists videos! Your video is one of the first that truly covers some of the basic questions about strokes and simple things like loading the brush properly! I'll probably be an unknown Abstract artist when it's all said and done, but I'm sure having fun again! Thank you!

I love Donna, I found her on KERA ch 13,in Texas over 30 years ago, I had spent so much $, on books and classes, to learn to paint on wood then on clothing . I wanted to freehand,not follow patterns.I did learn a lot But when I found her, I was able to. Paint anything,I loved her way of teaching, it was so easy.Then I lost her for many years,then saw her on a shopping tv channel, spent lots on her kits, still have them. So I love her , she is a

I absolutely LOVE your videos! You are very skilled at explaining every step. My only HUGE problem is I'm left-handed and find it difficult to figure out how to reverse what you're doing. My flowers are great because each petal is smaller than the leaves. My grapevine & daisy leaves become blobs! Do you have any left-handed tutorials? Thanks for your generosity in making these videos. You are so talented.

Medium won't keep from getting muddy paint, but you can try making sure your brush handle is straight up and down when loading and stroking.
