There's one item that I couldn't figure out from the rules. What happens if you defeat the Thing in a sector but haven't yet fulfilled the rest of the tokens to advance to the next Sector and you reveal the Thing again? Do you have to fight it again with the same victory conditions for that sector?
So in a 4 player game, if someone is assimilated, making 2 infected players, you would need to torch one infected in order to make sure you can leave with only humans? (One infected dead and one left behind)
I just played this game with 6 of us. Humans had no chance to win because we had to take 4 humans on board but there were 3 imitations in the group. When you do assimilation how do you distribute the cards for ratio? It seems like there will always be 3 imitations every game.
The number of infected varies each game. At the assimilation stage there is not always another infected player (if the infected player receives another infected card).
Thats not actually possible per the rules. In a 6 player game you are supposed to deal out 5 human cards and 1 imitation at the start. The Blood Sample Deck is supposed to have 5 humans and 1 imitation as well. During the assimilation phase you always return a human card, unless your an imitation who got a second imitation card. So 6 players will only have 2 imitations max. It isn't until you hit 7 players that there are 3 possible infected
Smoke turns to fire during rounds. If you receive a sabotage card nothing happens, but if one is played during the investigation phase it must be revealed and played out
Does the player you send to another room to deal with fire or smoke have to be part of the investigation or can it be someone left behind in the rec room?
It depends when. If using a Molotov at start of round yes. After everyone puts in a card for a mission or battle then no, as all cards are mixed nd captain chooses one of those (not from hand). Some special abilities may allow it but can't remember if it's from hand or mission pool.
@@moonshineman33 no, not exactly. When you draw a mission card it tells you how many players to bring. In a 4 player game there will always be 3 or 4 players in the mission. Everyone in the mission must play one card. The captain shuffles then looks at them and may discard one if they like.
