In this lesson, you will learn how to subtract two fractions when the denominators of the fractions are equal. In order to perform the subtraction, we keep the same denominator in the answer and subtract the numerators. When we get the result we always try to simplify it into lowest terms. Subtracting fractions is done in the same way as fraction addition, the only difference being that we subtract the numerators instead of adding them in the case of adding fractions. When adding or subtracting fractions, the denominators of the fractions must be the same number.

Usually we come across easy and difficult portion in our lessons. Generally we pick the easy one and skip the rest or say return to it later on. It's a good practice to glance over the tough portion as and when the time permits in order to avoid burden and come easier with it.

Hi Andrey, it is not rudimentary for some people. Besides, I have other lessons on unequal denominators. Rudimentary is in the eye of the beholder - there are calculus problems that I can throw up that would be very confusing to most people, and there are definitely many, many problems that I find confusing in tensor calculus with general relativity theory! I take it step by step and students can progress in their skills along with me. Thanks and good luck in your studies! Jason

East way to subtract like denominators is to 1. Take the same denominators 2. Subsctract the numerators. 3. Do not subtract the denominators but take the same denominators as the answer. Very east trick.

Please Help me sir, In one of your video you teach us to multiple numbers ×11 Solved one: 127×11 1+2=3 2+7=9 =So it's 39 (1397) 1+3=4 Ans:497 So here is the problem that I cannot solve 628×11 So 6+2 =8 8+2=10 it will goes like 68108 So how will I solve it
