Your lessons are the most helpful lessons I’ve come across as they are straight to the point and provide the best explanations …. Sorry in advance if I have not understood properly….but I was just a little confused with the example of “he plays” (oyna) ….. because that has 2 syllables but was included with the one-syllable list examples ( -er/-ar )…. And not the ‘more-than-one-syllable’ list examples (-ir/-ır/-ur/-ür) ….. is this because it ends in a vowel so it doesn’t matter as vowel-ending words only take the -r anyway? Or is there a different reason. Thank you again for these lessons
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 9 месяцев назад
Merhabalar. You understood correct, if a verb is ending with a vowel then it takes only "r".

@wild.fo0die
@wild.fo0die 6 месяцев назад
You should re-watch the video you have missed the point here. For -Ve sentences which includes Ben/Biz (1st person) We only use 'Ma/Me' whereas for the 2nd person ie, Sen/Siz/O/ We only use 'Maz/Mez' therefore as per your given example above for the First Person (Ben) Using 'Maz' is invalid. I hope this clarify.

There is one tiny thing that I dont understand: Ben yazma + ım = yazmam and Biz bakma + ız = bakmayız. Why do we add the y in one case and delete the ı in the other case? Is there a reason for it? Otherwise really helpful video, thank you!

8:57 Why dowe sometimes use buffer letters and other times we put r
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 23 дня назад
In negative sentences, we don't use the suffix "-z" for "ben" and "biz" and we need a buffer letter between two vowels. Gitmeyiz. Gelmeyiz.

İyi günler hocam. why we use simple present tense suffix "z" in negative sentence? Please brief it out. Thank you.
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 2 года назад
Merhabalar. In simple present tense for positive sentences we use the suffix "r" and for negative sentences we use the suffix "z". That's the rule.

“gel-, bil-, öl-, gör, al-, bul-, ol-, ver-, var-, kal-, vur-, dur-, san-“ are regarded as exceptions in the simple present tense. It is of a higher possibility that students, who encounter with Turkish for the first time are prone to make mistakes conjugating these exceptional verbs and are more likely to follow the standard and existing rules. So be careful my dear student, başarılar. 👍

How do we know if we have to use the simple present or the present continuous?
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 2 года назад
Simple present tense is used to express a strong habitual, permanent, or repeated action, for a general statement for which no particular time is thought, to indicate the generally accepted truths, scientific facts, to state the willingness or readiness to do something.

When do we put suffix z or not? Ben yazmam without Z after ma
@LearnTurkishvia
@LearnTurkishvia 4 месяца назад
We don't use the suffix "-z" for "ben" and "biz". For other personal pronouns, we simply add the suffix "-z" right after the negative suffix "-me, -ma"
