Yes and thanks to the ones who helped him from the beginning of his abit, peanut Montgomery and his wife charlene, his sister Helen and her husband and to Tammy because she paid for his rehab because George had no money. Then Nancy took care of the business as manager that George made his own money from. Like richy Nancy finally got it all. His family should have inherited half of it. She didn't even save the museum with George's money. George would be turning in his grave. Congratulations to Nancy who is now married to kirk West.
Yea that man was hell on wheels lol. But even after all the hell raising George did and shows he didnt show up for etc he still remained on top to all of us through the years that's true talent, good man with a wild hair in his younger days.. His and all the other older country singers will continue living on in my everyday life and passed on to my kids and there kids.. good music and singer and will be remember for along long time God bless him.
I've listened to George all my life and my 12 year old son loves George jones. No days the singers get canceled for stupid shit. There's no singer alive that could do what George and the rest did and stay on top
This song hits really deep for me. It’s almost like it was written about my life. The struggles of the addiction to pain killers after I came back from the sandbox just to substitute them for alcohol and anything I could find or get into to try and make me feel normal or chase the adrenaline high of being in a firefight that no drug can give you. But I have no regrets, Its Just The Route That I Took and I Had to Learn To Live With The Person I now was but never would have made it to now without the woman Who stood by me through everything and never gave up on me even when I had given up on myself.
A lot of his other songs could have and should have been big hits for George. To many people held what was going on in his personal life against him that wasn’t right. That’s what I think anyway
it makes me mad when I hear people run Nancy Jones down and she met George he was knocking on death's door and she brought him back to the man we all had for another 30 years
Southern Guy Nancy jones is the sweetest woman I met she truly loved george. I visited her shortly after George passed she is the one who branch geoge around. Thanks for standing up for the woman george admired and changed for
Thank you my sentiments Exactly! Ms.Nancy is a very sweet lady and I'm so very happy George found her! He truly did put a "GOLDEN BAND ON THE RIGHT LEFT HAND" with Ms. Nancy!!!
I'M ON MY SON'S APP.. I TOTALLY AGREE .. AND THE WAY EVERYONE PUT ALL( I MEAN) ALL THE BLAME ON GEORGE and he had his faults he owed up to them. AND MADE TAMMY THE VICTIM.. SHE HAD HER FAULTS AND WITH MEN... THEY WERE BOTH AWSOME ENTERTAINERS SOLO OR TOGETHER. BUT SHE CHOSE TO LEAVE. I WISH PEOPLE WOULD GIVE NANCY RESPECT I'M SURE IT HURTS HER WHEN SHE READS HOW GEORGE STILL LOVED TAMMY AND SHE HIM.. NANCY STOOD BY GEORGE SHE COULD HAVE LEFT BUT DIDN'T. I'VE NEVER MET THE LADY BUT GEEZ GIVE HER RESPECT.. 30 YEARS TO BE MARRIED IN THIS DAY AND TIME IS A MIRACLE... LOVE YOU NANCY JONES..
I'm still learning to live with me. I grew up in two families that are known for their drinking and drug abuse. I got my back and neck broke in 2008 and have been on pain pills every since and drinking really heavy too a it has taken a toll on my health and my finances. Maybe I will figure out how to get straightened out before it kills me.
@@deniwest7233 she sure was and thank god he had peanut Montgomery and charlene, his sister Helen and her husband to help him through it all. Tammy paid for his rehab because George had no money.

So weird this song can relate to all the hell both George and myself has been through and like the song says it took the love of a good woman for me to finaly see who I am
Well many local folk. has a Jones story or knows a fella that does back in the day. One Saturday morning in an undisclosed area of Tennessee I was drivin my old beat up Ford and there he was trying to ride a bycicle down the road and a swaying and stumblin along and he flagged me down. I pulled over and said what ya doing old hoss. He said I'm trying to reach the packie and ain't havin much luck. I said George I ain't about to let these smokeys scoop ya up. I took him to the package store and he went to town. He got back in my truck and made me drive im home. He invited me in and boy was I in country music heaven. He tried to give me one of his gold records but I couldn't . I just said Jones keep blessing me with your voice till either I die or you. That boy was nothing like the magazines said. He was about as down to earth as any fella I ever met. God bless em.
@@funny1226 I thought, what a nice Man he must have been. Tammy said that He was so kind until the 🍷 ng controlled him. He adopted her 3 Daughters that Tammie had by another marriage. Did they EVER appreciate that. I don't know? No one will ever till his shoes and Tammies when it come to singing those good Country Songs. They were like real life stories. Touched my heart ❤️ anyway. And I think they both had GREAT LOVE 💕 for each other. Till Death do we part. John 5:28-29 JEHOVAH God promises a resurrection of both the righteous and Unrighteous. JEHOVAH God read hearts 💕 not no man. Thank to All who still play their Songs. 😘 💕 GREAT 🎵🎶🎵 Music!
George never needed to sing this song really he lived It everyday and has sung this song a million times but they only had different names. Great song though. Love It.
It’s funny how George went from the drinking and drugs , disappearing for days to looking forward to taking care of his land and watching Matlock reruns
Poor George! What Addictions can do to PEOPLE. Glad he made the changes with NANCY'S Help. The real LIFE will be in the coming PARADISE EARTH. 🌍. Hope I will hear him sing to his Creator JEHOVAH GOD & his redeamer Christ Jesus.
