@@KeithfromMN it’s just connections brother, Schaub is in with the biggest names in the biz so getting a production isn’t as hard as someone building a name for themselves.
I think the guy was laughing because he knew BYU was a Mormon college and it would have played perfectly into your hand considering the direction you were going. He didn't come right out and say it because he was leaving it for you and trying to hint you in the right direction.
This is a guy who is naturally funny....it's in his DNA. Many comedians out there feel like they're just doing memorized material. Improving like this and really hittin' it all the way through.....that's a gift. Keep going man!
@@jimgibson629 refreshing to see a comic who accepts and even welcome interaction with the audience. most comics get passive aggressive which is a clear sign of ego, limited talent or fear of it
The way that dude volunteered the fact he's a Jet's fan, and the supreme confidence with which he began his utterance was only surpassed by Troy's handling of the situation, thanks for making me laugh.
@@ReverseDragonCrouchingBadger Anything you want to know about Mormons you can learn from watching the special South Park episode... Way better than the musical too.
To do this all off the cuff at such a young age... This guy is gonna fucking blow up. Not if but when. Just a matter of time. Please come to Vegas to do shows, you'd kill out here.
Oh my God I was literally crying laughing at this. It all started off when Troy misunderstood "PYU" for "BYU" and nobody dared correct him, and it just got funnier as the bit wore on.
Older guy here. Been to a hundred comedy shows. Troy is absolutely savage and hilarious. Recently saw Matt Rife live. Can’t wait to see Troy live. This new generation of crowd working comics is long overdo. These kids are brilliant.
I did that in February. Well it was 50% Troy and 50% other stuff. Totally worth it. Although he’s touring atm so just make sure he’s actually in NYC when you go
Was visiting NYC from the UK in Feb and saw you at BCC, easily one of the best comedians i've seen in a long time and i have no doubt you're going places
Troy, my life is basically watching comedians in RU-vid. It’s beyond me why you are not mainstream. You are one of the greatest comedians out there. The way you can interact with your audience and be funny every time, that’s some skill not many around have. In brief, keep the hard work, you are amazing, and you deserve to be very famous.
I absolutely love this guy!! I can't believe I just now discovered him. He interacts with the audience so much and I love that!! Keep it up, man! You're definitely gonna be huge and in a big way, my friend 😂😁😆💜🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏💙
I unironically LOVEEE this dude, he is one of the only “unknowns” where everything he does is just true, lmfao, or the first thing on his mind for clapback is the most accurate intrusive thought I ever heard. I need this dude on Laugh Factory, or on This Is Not Happening.
So glad to have found your channel. Your comedy is such a great blend of social and political satire, witty/cut throat crowd work and just unique humor. You are pure talent!!! Homegrown NYC comedian, keep killing it!
Same here, as a member who's currently home from college (in Utah but not at BYU) this was gold. In fact it's kind of funnier for me because I come from a background that's very churchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints but also very anti BYU lol
This guy putting on a wit highlight reel the way he spun "ask them" into a meta observation of the exchange and how he immediately chimed in with the "you better not be coming anywhere else"
I doubt you'll remember me - your Lyft driver in KC, taking you from OP to the Comedy Club. As an ex-Mormon, this was hilarious, and it definitely made my day.
Dude! Just came across your clips. Sitting here at 2 am laughing so loud! Damn man, your brain works so fast! You need a TED talk on speedy comebacks! Make your way to Texas soon!
I just love how this guy was having fun with the couple... and starts in real hard on the guy who butted in!! At least that's what it sounded like... as if he was going to teach the 3rd wheel to stay out of the conversation that didn't include him... cause it sure seemed like Troy changed his direction for a min and really went at this other guy!! TOO FUNNY!!!
Mark my words... if the industry has any brains... This guy better be up next. He's refreshingly hilarious. Last time I seen talent blossoming like this was in the early days, when I first seen Sébastien manascalco and Ali Wong.
Up next for what, though, besides a special? Just because he's great at standup and phenomenal with a crowd doesn't necessarily mean he can be used to make money like with a sitcom or something, or that he'll play ball. Talent is great but they're looking for people to fit into their plans
