Sophie Chiche, question generator, idea activista. meaning lover.
Sophie Chiche is the Founder and Curator of lifebyme.com - an online community that gathers around the word and the idea of meaning. Sophie's asked hundreds of people: What's most meaningful to you? Every day the site features answers from best-selling authors, moms, Nobel Peace Prize recipients, fishermen, teenagers, prison inmates, media moguls... People generously share their meaningful and often life changing stories.
All of Sophie's careers, relationships and places she's lived have been prompted by meaningful conversations, whether they've happened at a dinner, a conference or, yes, even in line at the DMV. For now, those conversations have landed her in Los Angeles where she is surrounded by an amazing tribe of talent. If you happen to stop by her office, don't be shocked to walk in on meditation between meetings or an office dance party . After all, life is meant to be fun. Life is meant to be meaningful. www.lifebyme.com

This is SO powerful, Soph. The way you’ve simplified what is truly going on with thoughts/feelings/results is a gift. Thank you for sharing your story, you’re a light in the world! Also, can’t wait wait to read your book!

You can sense how nice and good of a person Sophie is through this talk. The talk itself was not as fact-filled as others, but it was very positive and uplifting. I was smiling through most of it. Good job.

Well done Sophie! very insightful.And yes, we deserve, but we are not always sure deep down that we do so it is good to be reminded often.

Really enjoyed her perspective...most time, people see themselves as starting out the gate, with a bundle of energy...and wasting the energy on obstacles and challenges that are on the linear path to their goals...but the idea, she presents makes sense....how energy is divided at the start, with old habitual thought patterns and conditioning and how it drains your start on the path...very interesting.

Great explanation of why we don't do what we say we want to do...it applies to everything from saying 'I want to be happy,' to 'I want to eat less.' Great talk!! Inspirational.

Great speech. It prompts me to examine the self-inflicting thoughts that hold me back. Not a topic I expected though- where was the "learning curve," per the title? Minimally addressed.

Interesting enough for a positive, although I have a complaint: vectors are used only for quantities that have a direction, and since energy is a scalar (a quantity without direction), it cannot be represented with vectors, so that "vectors represent energy" is plain nonsense. Why do people not stick to their area of expertise and communicate what they are good at, rather than having to quote from other areas they know little about?

Calm down. You know she meant force, she was probably just nervous. You try talking in front of hundreds of people and see if you have any slip ups. "Why do people not stick to their area of expertise and communicate what they are good at, rather than having to quote from other areas they know little about?" Yes. Let's all be one-dimensional twits and forcefully avoid mentioning anything other than what we have mainly studied.

Why are they need a separate event for women? Are women special kind of human being?
@ataraxia7439

There’s all sorts of reasons but yeah women can have different experiences on average than men bd might sometimes benefit from a space made with those differences in mind.

For shame tedxwomen banning comments on anita sarkeesian's video. TED talks have covered many controversial topics like race relations or religious tensions. But when it comes to video games it's a topic that's too taboo for the youtube community.

Of course large women can be beautiful, but, ceteris paribus, they will be more attractive as they approach a healthier weight. There are hardwired genetic reasons why this is the tendency... stop being ridiculous please
