This video is all about Smashing. Smashing is one of the most fun techniques in the sport. This movement is the chance to win a point. If you smash correctly you have a great oppurtunity to win the point. If the ball is "set" properly in the middle of the court about 2 feet away from the net you can hit the ball with your foot at the highest point possible and aim so that the balls momentum is going downward. Make sure your leg is properly strectched out when contact is made with the ball. This technique will make your "smash" more powerful and give you the best chance of winning the point.
Also while "smashing" the ball it is common for soccer players try and use the laces of the shoe to "smash". The most common "smash" in futnet is NOT with the laces and instead it is made with the instep area of the show. Jan will show you in this video how to smash correctly. He is current World and European champion in the Triples discipline so he is perfectly qualified.
Futnet is a sport that originated in Czechoslovakia in the 1920's and since then has grown and grown into a very popular game. Over 10,000 people now play this sport in the Czech Republic and it is also growing all across the world with over 30 countries represented within the World Governing Body UNIF.

The last World Championships took place in Brno, Czech Republic in 2016 where 8000 spectators watched 20 countries compete for glory.
