Aloha Swayne! I am born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i and grew up in the islands. I am 8th generation Kanaka Maole! I now make my home in beautiful Colorado. I learned to fly when i was in the Navy back in 1988 and I am still an active pilot. My son and I own a Grumman AA-5B Tiger that we base at KBJC near Denver. You, Sir, are living the dream! My son is attending MSU here in Denver in their professional pilot program. He hopes to fly for Mokulele or Hawaiian Air some day. I also have a cousin who lives in Kauai that wants to become a pilot. He's moving out here in the summer to live with us to get his PPC, instrument and commercial ratings. He's going to be renting our Tiger to get it done. I have relatives who live on just about every island, including Maui. I have an uncle who lives in Haiku on the northern side of the island along with a few cousins. You may know him as the "Handsome Buggah" Rodney Kilborn. He used to be a professional surfer but now he's a promoter. He runs the Pe'ahi long board/tow-in and the Maui to Molokai SUP surf competitions every year. Your video makes me homesick! Nice to see the place again, I've over flown Kalaupapa a few times doing cross countries for my PPL. That was about 10 years ago.

I love the Caravan, might I ask what endorsements are needed to fly it? Performance? Complex? It's not bigger than 12,5 I don't believe... And also love all your vids. You've really got the presentation figured out, the perfect ratios of explanations, gear, scenery and actions shots, right back into explanations of the next parts before the first gets to boring. Keep rockin out!!!

I'm just about to turn 16 next month and will being completing my first solo flight, this has literally just become my dream job for all the money isn't great 😍

i have been work as mechanic in air china for 4 years.although i have chance go to cockpit everyday.but i am not happy.i still dream fly.everytime i take the airplane .i aways look out of window.this year i finally find a company who can give me a chance to learn fly helicopter.i know there will have many difficult in my future.i wii try my best.your video really inspire me.

Great video. How many roommates do you have to afford living there? :) When I first visited Maui, I started looking for a job there when I returned to the mainland. Nothing could support my family on what I could make there versus the cost of living. Amazing place to be, but sooooo expensive.

I may have finally got my funding situation worked out and may be starting flight school in November 2020. I'm so excited but so scared. I've been driving a tow truck for 14 1/2 years and still have a house payment, truck payment, etc. I hate driving a tow truck and want to fly.

C208B 1 What battery type do it have? What is the amperage? Precautions? 2 Minimum battery voltage for external power start? Battery start? 3 What does a blinking blue LED on the panel mean? 4 How many hydraulically operated systems on the Caravan? I can only find brakes as hydraulic actuated but I am sure there will be more 5 What is Torque and how is it measured? Limits on the torque meter? 6 What are the indications of a primary prop governor failure? 7 What is on the Battery electrical bus? 8 Where is the ELT located? 9 Describe the nose wheel shock absorption 10 Air conditioner system and how it works? (Cant find it anywhere on internet or on meterial) please please please can someone help!!!!

You always see the pilot drop the ladder on a Caravan but never see it get brought back up. Why?

Swayne nice name. Are you named after some one in your family? I'm so happy to the moon and back for you buddy. I wish I could've of heard what your ground school instructor was saying to your class members and you. I wish we could meet each other. After you get back to college on the main land could you come visit me here on the west coast of Florida? There is a small airport near by called Hidden Lake Airport. People have hangers there behind their houses. The runway has lights on the it that can be turned on from the air. How long will you be working for the airline before you fly back to start up your College studies again? Hope to hear back from you when you get a chance to send me a reply.
