I am aware of the torch trick, yes. There's a couple things getting in the way of me using it at the moment: 1) the lingering effects of a long (500+ days) Stalker run in which keeping wolves at bay was top priority, and 2) a long history of wolves taking arrows and running off to die in far-flung corners of the zone, something I really can't afford on Loper. Am I being cavalier with Astrid's life? Yes. Am I having her tank too much cold damage? Most likely. Am I going to change how I play? Not until the game makes me.
