Oh, hey, this was posted on my birthday. Even if I didn't see this until a few months ago, it's a wonderful gift; this recitation made me fall in love with this poem. She's did a really, really brilliant job on a really, really brilliant piece.
My favourite poem of all my years is SONG ON THE BLOOD ...FELINGETTI. I have now found the definitive version of this as well. This was perfectly recited. Everyone STOP and listen. ❤

We shouldn't even be here Are you called from the sea? Make no mistake, Jacob The groove's in your moves In your sifting, armed and a heart of meekness His strength made perfect in weakness Is it the world you're lifting? How long's a bride's ride? Still your choice hearing one voice Are you true within darkness, dismayed? Will you dine with the enemy being weighed? Are you heaven's art and jewel? Of age to end the age A sage to rhyme in time Embracing sacrifice, becoming plain Crossing over a plane A purified-one in Christ A light-in-flight Tears count for years With each drop, in step with a bird God's with you and heard Wings earned if you don't stop So be sky-high Not the enemy's thigh You've waited, negotiating a pitted-road The load of being betrothed Overcome, be elated Listen, you'll glisten By taking thought as you ought Satan may hurt; but, the Carpenter and wood (cut-down tree) Overcomes evil with good, completely Humbly say, "devil, to the dirt" The laws of loss The file of one filed Reigning-glory in Jesus' name, undefiled by Satan The abomination of desolation fakin' Cast out of the way in your story Word of old retold Beauty for ashes - duty in dashes Kingdom work abroad: today's Hebrew rebounding The figurative Jew recounting Hidden temple of God 😊❤
