Yeah I didn't catch the ion weapon while watching on a second monitor but I was thinking that even if you turn off the engines you can just press 'i' to turn them back on vs 'u' which will turn the shields off and force them to reboot.

When I was playing during the free week, I was caught out so many times by this. Does the AI take the shot when your shields are completely depleted?

Lag pips actually used to be in the game, I think things were changed around for performance purposes/balance etc, pretty sure you'll be able to toggle lag pip vs lead pip in the future

@@galoreorc01 time time I played was 3.16 and lag pip were still there, did they remove it in 3.17?

@@galoreorc01 Lag pips are currently in the game, you can change it in the settings and even set a keybind to toggle between the two

@@theturdflinger I have a switch lead/lag bound to my sticks as well, haven't been playing much though but that's fixing to change because I need to get these mounts configured comfortable for me. Just got a chair with mounts and put it together Monday Night, I havent used it yet. I had to remove a homeless man named Dan from my home right after I had finished putting it together. I wouldn't have even known he was in my house if he hadn't opened my bedroom door and try to close it quietly. He about got shot but, I gave him food instead and told him never to do something that stupid again because not everyone wouldn't have shot him. It was spooky my 115lb dog was useless need to replace him 😔

Or fire them at the same time so you can reload both at the same time ^^

I just hopped on and its actually still quite fun in the state its in. Theres gonna be a steep learning curve with all the various controls but as a guy who hasnt played it until just the other day, the experience doesnt feel like a waste of time. I just crashed out of a courier mission and probably lost all my progress, but it was still satisfying to figure out the jumpdrive and navigate zero g in a wrecked space station. Granted, im coming from dcs so i already have a lot of the hardware that really adds to the immersion.

It was nice seeing the concepts that captivated my attention back in 2014 actually flying around in the game by other more experienced pilots during the free-to-play week. The bugs still made the experience so stressful that playing other games was a relief. The single-player free-fly mode that allowed you to learn dogfighting outside of the persistant verse was a welcome addition. I wish they had some like that for the FPS combat as well.

@@flamebreaker7318 but it wasn't single-player. It required other players to be waiting in the lobby to join and no-one was waiting.

He had lost his wings and main thrusters, he was spinning because his ship had literally been turned into a missile shape with only horizontal thrusters 🤣

you'll notice that he didnt have ANY PVP until he started doing "pirate" criminal missions. Basically, as you do crimes, you become a more valuable PVP target. If you accidently do a crime, you can pay off a fine at Grimm hex, or hack a security station to pardon your record. (hacking the security station works for serious criminals, too). Or you can get defeated and respawn in jail- a simple friendly fire incident might be 15 minutes, while multiple homicide is 6 hours or more, though you can shave off time with helping out with maintinance and learning to hand mine.

theres a wipe inbound so a lot of players are waiting till it wipes to get back into the verse, myserlf included

​@@SLouadah honestly not sure, most times im in a server its full, but feels empty as no one is talking/typing. Also doesnt help that server meshing isnt complete yet meaning each server holds like 50 or something people and thats for an entire system. would be cool to see a live players stat for sure

There are people who enjoy it very much that’s all that really matters.

You can't even drive a 6000 ship alone, you will need a crew, thus you can divide the price of the ship by the crew number. Also, the game is 45 USD, not 6000, nobody is forcing anyone to buy those ships.

Also, pretty much every single ship (except brand new ones) are buyable in game for a very reasonable price.

Ignorance is a hard thing to defeat.
