keep it up. I've been riding this since buying the original Solowheel was on kickstarter about 5 years ago. I still can't ride backwards. But then again, I never really gave it that much effort to learn. I might just start learning it.
It took me a good three weeks and 100's of falls to learn the Solowheel. Back then no one else had one so I had to figure it out on my one. The only videos online where the 2 or 3 advertisements by Solowheel. I now ride the Lhotz by Xima but I'm looking to upgrade to something that can handle the really steep hills in San Francisco better. I'm torn between the ACM and the MSuper. Would you say that for hill climbing on pavement, the ACM handily beats the MSuper, or is it about the same?
As I tell every one who asks, the ACM is the best hill climber. The difference between it and the MSuper V3 is very noticeable. The MSuper can climb hills but it's not nearly as pleasant to do so because you have to really lean into it and have faith in the wheel. It's just not a comfortable experience. On the other hand, the ACM just goes.
I've owned both of the ACMs and my statement applies to them both. I currently own the 84v 1300wh version. If it's in your budget I would buy the 84v ACM because it is noticeably more powerful than the older ACM (which is still a great wheel - I had about 800 miles on mine).
