This learning video shows the step-by-step process of how to make organic pesticides. The goal of this video is to empower millions of people living in poverty by encouraging them to instantly replicate this local income solution.
This video was filmed and produced by Sawa World under the Ujana Coffee Project which was implemented with the support of Lavazza Foundation.
The Ujana Coffee Project offers a solution to diversify and increase the income of youth from smallholder coffee farming communities through a unique approach of providing access to locally-created and easy-to-start income skills that allow the youth to rapidly start small-scale businesses and with little startup costs.
This provides additional revenue from their farming activities and motivates them to stay in the agricultural sector for the long-term.

Hello, My name is Jordan. Thank you so much for this initiative, this is certainly a step in the right direction. I would like to ask just two questions. 1. When you sieve the final concentrate solution, how did you determine the volume of water to add in order to come up to the 5-liter solution? Am asking this because different people may generate different quantities of the concentrate before diluting it to make the 5-liter solution. 2. How do I apply the pesticide and what is the application rate per acre. what is the ratio of the solution to water using a knapsack of 20 liters for example? Thank you.

The organic pesticide protects plants from insects which damage the crops with either piercing or chewing mouth parts for example aphids, thrips, spider mites, leaf miners, scale, white flies and so many others.

Hello Thomas, The shelf life of organic pesticides can vary depending on a few factors, 1 year is a typical range for unopened containers assuming proper storage conditions (cool, dry place out of direct sunlight).
