Hey there. How do you like Symphonia 2? I'm deciding between Symphonia, Tenor and Beat (all second versions), and can't really decide. I'm afraid Tenor might be too sporty and agile, as for the Symphonia I'm afraid I could outgrow it soon? I'm flying for 1.5 years and have about 100 flights with Phi Sonata 2.
Honestly I moved from a low B (Tequila 5) to Symphonia 2 and I'm super happy with it ! Doesn't limit me with my current skills, i've put 130h on it now, the only thing it has of an EN-A is the certification and maybe speed/glide when going straight into strong wind. Beat 2 will need more active piloting than Tenor for sure. As for number of flights the amount doesn't matter much, or time, it depends a lot what kind of conditions you're used to and interested in. 100 soaring flights on a coast in laminar wind is not the same as 100 flights down from a mountain before sun starts to heat the ground and is not the same as 100 cross country 6h flights haha :)
@@alex-in-the-sky Thanks for the feedback! I guess Beat will be more demanding to fly compared to Tenor/Symphonia, although Flybubble says it's quite easy to fly with supersafe behaviour. Currently I'm flying Phi Sonata 2. Stopped smoking, gained some weight, so need a bigger glider and want to step up - :) Have about 100 flights in mid-alps conditions (Slovenia), up to 9 m/s headwind gusts from mostly around 1500 m altitude peaks. I feel confident with Sonata 2, nice beginners glider, though in headwind is quite bad even with 6kg over the weight range.
@@miqmp nice progression ! I mean reviews are always pretty positive as all gliders are pretty great tbh it just has to fit for you. Phi dealers usually are pretty available to let people test fly the gliders so use the opportunity and feel for yourself in siimiar to your usual flying conditions
