Thank you, perfect timing for me. I'm frustrated trying to get different sounds for lots of cover songs. I've been looking to get a minimum number of setting to cover the whole set list. Amazing how you have achieved my goal with ONE preset.

This is great - its very easy to get 'option paralysis' when there's so much choice for amps/cabs effects and you've shown you can cover a lot of ground with a few options.

Fantastic job Ross. Id love to recreate this for my Helix LT but since you used a bunch of diff settings for each snapshot for many diff pedals and we didn't see each perhaps changes in detail let snapshot that will be almost mpossible. Would love to see a text file link where you copied down all the settings so is Helix owners could get benefit as well since this won't be done again for the Helix. Keep it up. Great abundance of tones with that 1 preset!

Interesting to see this versatility without changing the amp and cab.

I used to have way too many sounds and agree less is more. However I still have about 5 presets that I use over 3 sets doing mostly covers. A couple more that are very unique for specific songs with a wild effect. While I agree most in the audience won't know how close to the actual cover my sound is I do, and I need to stay inspired. I am very careful to match all my volumes so they are all relative and no need to adjust once the master volume is set. I also have learned that what sounds good at home doesn't translate live especially with a second guitar player. I keep effects to a minimum and use low cut to stay out of the bass's lane and cut through the mix. Cheers!

Hi, Awesome video! It was very helpful to me as I also like the "one preset to rule them all" concept. I'm going to try this at church band practice to see how it works, and then maybe create a copy with a verb instead of phaser. The Heir Apparent sounds great, I need to start playing around with it in my presets. Since there are already some heavy hitters DSP-wise in this preset, what would you recommend for a an existing reverb model that can cover the spectrum from short Fender amplike to lush cloudlike ambient tones? I love and use the Glitz and Dynamic series but probably no way that either would fit in the preset. Thanks a lot for doing this. 😁

Hi Ross. Great video - many thanks for a very practical approach to the age old problem of levelling! I have two requests please. Firstly, can you please provide your 'Ultimate cover band preset' so it works with Helix Floor, Helix LT and Helix Rack please - or detailed settings for end users to re-create it for themselves? (I've submitted a support ticket with this request too.) Secondly and perhaps more fundamentally, can you add any weight / influence at Line 6 to see if it's possible for an 'auto-levelling' feature to be introduced into Line 6 products? I bought a Helix LT Floor back in 2018 and soon after fumbling around and finding out how to use it properly, I became aware that it's tricky (if not nigh on impossible) to get a consistent level (output volume) when switching from preset to preset - particularly in a live gig situation / on-the-fly. (Even more of a headache if you don't have the luxury of a mixing desk and a sound engineer!). Anyway, thanks again for a really great video - it's heartening to hear a seasoned professional addressing some of the very practical elements of achieving authentic sounds in a live cover band situation. I’m trying to achieve this same thing, but I’m not sure how you are able to use snapshots to change settings but then also having the foot switches able to turn the same settings on and off, like the overdrive channel gains on a foot switch and also getting set to update with each snapshot?

Downloaded this last night but I get no sound out of the line6? Tried raising the master and the ch. volume but I still get no sound? All other patches that I've downloaded aren't having any issues. Any suggestions?
