Leather Lane Market is one of London's oldest Markets. Renowned for its street food stalls, coffee shops and restaurants. The market has a long history and has seen many changes in the surrounding societies culture and fortunes. The market opens from around 10am until 2pm Monday to Friday so it is primarily where locals come for lunch. I visit Prufrock coffee and the traditional place fish and chip shop. Leather Lane has some of the best coffee shops in London.

Hi BR: I never really knew about Leather Lane market until today. But then I am extremely rarely in that part of town. One time in 1975 I was living in Snaresbrook but working near Goodge Street. I tried to pay less on the underground and got caught because I told the officer I lived in Chancery Lane - of course I had no idea what Chancery Lane was like and that it was not really a residential area. He let me go eventually but I really have to laugh at my lack of knowledge at the time. I really enjoy your videos and I see you have been doing them for quite a while but only came across you this week. Thanks!!!

Another fab video, thanks for the hidden gem market! but no slagging Gregg's please! I love their take away hot delicious soups for when on the go and need something walking to my meetings! Its something simple as a hot cuppa soup to go that makes me smile and is not readily available here in USA, not even Boston; Germany, I just found a shop that has it. Also, Gregg's veggie pies are fab too and again can't enjoy them here in USA or Germany. The idea has not yet caught on but these are part of the spices of London that makes it one of a kind :) I consider myself a Londoner at heart and been visiting since 2007 once or twice a year, playing shows with my band and enjoying this very special place that has a fab vibe and energy for a musician.

Thanks Robert for the video of Leather Lane market. I use to shop in the market when I worked in London . I came down for a visit on Friday 7th December 2018 and was sad to see that so many of the tradition stalls gone. I did find a fantastic charity shop (Age UK) great for bargains. Next to that shop was an old style barbers shop. Next to that was a FANTASTIC shop selling Music posters and vinyl records. I had a really good time in this gents shops who was a treat to speak to and buy from. I will be going back again to the shops .
