Poor berty you could just see the heart break in her eyes when that baby tryed to climb up on her and mom snatches him away shes trying so hard to find someone who will let her babysit i wonder if you got her a stuffed toy monkey baby if she would take it i feel bad for her not having any babys when most have one every year

They usually seem like they would had been more caring and loving than several of the actual moms :( If only there were an orphan/abandoned baby around that she could adopt as her own ...
Awww Dimpy doesn’t look as much like Reddy as she did before. But Kneely looks exactly like Gypsy. They’re all sooooo cute but I can’t keep them straight. Oh & Berty should be Gypsy’s permanent babysitter since she doesn’t like having her baby 24/7. Solution found!
Mac Wacha ..... Hi Mac, when Knotty was little, Gypsy had two “Aunts”. And I feel that this was why she didn’t take good care of him, knowing he was taking care of by the Aunts. I felt they were “running” things concerning baby Knotty upbringing, not letting her . Just my idea.

I feel so bad for Berty! I know it's for the troops best interest to help the population not grow to epidemic proportions and with other troops in the area food would only be harder and harder to find. I have no maternal instincts which is fine by me it's my choice but it's hard to see something that's hardwired into their brain and cannot understand why something won't happen and it's completely obvious on her face all she wants to do is love and nurture... sad

I don't know if Bossy has changed or if she just was hungry as she was busy picking up beans. I feel so very sorry for Berty. I wonder how much these monkeys understand or what if any reasoning powers they have? I often wonder if Reddy knows &/or understands that her older daughter can't bear any children due what man did to her? If she does, I would think she would let Berty "aunt" Dimpy as Dimpy is one of the older babies of this year. Watching Berty's expressions when she is denied "aunting" just makes me want to cry. So sad.
Mary Gingg yes it’s to bad these mothers are so protective. I’m sure they don’t understand berty doesn’t have a baby of her own. It’s to bad they don’t each give her a few minutes a day but who knows once she has a baby will she actually give it back?? Hmmm?

so how many girls in our troop are sterile?? and how many monkeys in our troop? it doesnt seem like the sterilization program would be very effective, because it appears most all females gave birth except maybe a couple?? what is their reasoning for sterilizing these animals?? maybe you could do a video on that?? or maybe you already did and can tell me the link?
Gypsy was not the mother of Charlotte. Charlotte was born into the Skull Head troop and her mother was Elaine. Elaine is the daughter of Abbie which is the highest ranking matriarch of Skull Head. No one knows why she abandoned Charlotte as Elaine was already a first time mom to another daughter named Bonnie. Poor Berry is so desperate to hold a baby but stays patient and gentle. Even sitting on the tree watching Dimpy you can see her gently and subtlety touch the baby with her toes. Hopefully when the babies are a little older she gets a chance to Aunt. It must be difficult having such a strong urge to mother, be surrounded by new babies and not understand why it doesn’t happen for you and it’s hard to know how much they think and feel about things or how much is simply instinct. I’ve always loved how the older siblings (of either sex) look out for the younger ones.

There are a lot of factors that play into that, and it can vary greatly, depending on rank (higher ranked females start earlier and give birth more often), availability of food, number of live birth's, and how long they live. An alpha female may have 10 or more, whereas a low ranked female might only have 1 or 2, I guess there are a few that don't have any, though rare in nature. On average they're child rearing period lasts from about age 4-20. I know I'm not Arroz, but thought I'd reply, in case he doesn't get a chance!
I love those babies. They look cute now until they turn toddler and thats when everything goes crazy. As for Fifty, i do not see she doing anything wrong. She went to Ridgy and she seem fine by Fifty and then ran back to her mom, its the other monkey that came and got Fifty’s mom on that monkey. As for Gypsy or whatever her name is, that is so f’ing wrong, she finally got a baby girl, but treated Knotty and Knitty wrong. For the worse part, she wasn't caring much for Knotty and that was f’ed up. She is no near like Reddy, not even a little of it. Reddy cares for all of her children’s, that's even the one that had passed and unlucky to be a grown adult. Reddy took care all of her kids very well and shes a loving mom. Please don't even put Gypsy or whatever her name is in the same category as Reddy.

I knew gypsy would start her plucking before long.That is one that doesn't deserve to be a mom.Reddy is high ranking and can be a good mom because she gets to eat and is greedy and the lower ranking moms are the ones I feel for. I don't understand why Bobby doesn't have to leave the troop as old as he is.Poor Bertie I feel sorry for her she would be a good loving mother.
