Honestly Iroh was the real hero. Without his pain and journey, Zuko would lack the rock and emotional support he needed to grow, and Team Avatar would never have grown the way they needed to.
Okay I keep replaying this and feeling my heart sink at the end when the other themes layer in, so I gotta ask: any chance you'll be making standalone release of other avatar themes? Your string work is so excellent and I'd love a whole playlist of it!
This is absolutely underrated and should be awarded beyond belief. Incredibly orchestrated and magnificent. I'm blessed to have witnessed such a marvelous soulful, masterpiece. Thank you Colm McGuiness.

when i first heard this on TLA: TFBSS, i cried without realizing why. then i learned just how much was put into it. and the fact it was like a goodbye to us from Mako, and not just Iroh saying goodbye to his son.
My dad was a rougher, fouled mouthed, Celtic Uncle Iroh. He died suddenly last year while I was away at work. Listening this just opens my heart up a stitch at a time.
