In this video we share with you some of our favourite places in our neighbourhood and we move out of our beloved hutong house. We have enjoyed so many amazing memories in this city and are sad to leave but we can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for us.

Omg! Moving is such a traumatic experience especially when you have grown fond of the place! Can feel your pain! Beijing hutongs are such a character I hope they will always remain and not demolished to make way for so called development. Wow, Jack's Chinese skill is impressive! I think he spoke more Chinese in this final episode than all the previous ones combined (I know I am exaggerating a little bit). But I certainly hope he can find opportunities in the future to keep it up and make good use of it. My partner and I lived in Shanghai for 3 years and we recently moved back to home to the U.S. in August. We felt very similar to how you guys felt leaving Beijing. It is interesting to see you going through the process of leaving a country that you adopted as a home for a long time. We sometimes flirt with the idea of leaving Japan after two decades and wonder "where else in the world would we belong." sad that Nico and her husband would leave China or had left, but lucky that they may be back to China after and they would show us more amazing videos like this and many others that posted before. 离别最是催人泪，several years ago,when i was about to leave Xi'an, capital city of ShanXi province after my 3 days tour there, the trafic lights that passed by, the vehicles surpassed, people that i ever met, monuments i visited, especially the ancient wall alongside the road that sees thousands of years of chinese history which decored with neon lights and other illustrations, had made me soooo sad, even up to now ,i could not help being upset when memomy called back. Anyway , nice voyage back to your hometown, and enjoy your life, all the time and all the ways!

After 10 years in China I made the decision myself to leave in 2014 and spent some time "mourning" the decisions- even while I still lived there for another year!! But it was a year of "lasts" for me, which made it so much sadder. My last teaching day was the saddest after 3 years at the school I was at & many friends made, I don't think I cried so much in my life! Leaving China is the 2nd hardest thing I've ever done (1st being the CELTA for teaching there in the 1st place lol)!
