18 year old Charlie and Emma live with their own personal servant, Charlie’s mum. Refusing to grow up Charlie lives in a fantasy land of no work and all play, and this Peter Pan lifestyle seems to be rubbing off on Emma as well. But how long can it last?
Charlie’s mum is sick and tired of the constant cooking and cleaning up that keeps this couple in the style in which they are accustomed and Emma is keen to have a place of her own to show off… Charlie feels quite the opposite. But change is inevitable and it’s time for these big kids to get a taste of the real world.
So for one week - Charlie and Emma are going to trial living together alone in their own flat, without the support of their doting parents.
Will their relationship survive all the pressures, responsibility and inevitable arguments living in the real world causes? Or will they run back to the hotel of Mum and Dad?

me and my best friend have known each other for 12 years and her parents invite me round basically every day. Every single time I go round there I always help them cook and clean up afterwards. They’ve nicely opened up their house to you and let you stay round so the least thing you could do is help. It’s rude otherwise

@@lisa5hot @ooliott Yea can attest and say my parents are freaking awesome and I still live at home (24 y/o) but I do help out, though it's not a whole lot, but I streamline chores so to speak. Dishes rinsed of all the crap and in the sink (the dishwasher runs too long to do personal loads), clothes in the hamper, and I only get one meal a day (dinner) the rest I cook myself

I lived with my bf for three months. I felt guilty when his mother bought us a takeaway one night. I contributed to food, the cooking, the washing up and everything and I still felt a little guilty because I was there everyday. My bf had his own flat above his mum’s shop so we had our own space to keep clean and we had our own kitchen. I don’t know how they do this

I feel so sorry for Emma in this, she didn't see his attitude coming at all and is trying so hard. Seems to have a good head on her shoulders. The mother is an enabler. I’m a Children’s nurse and I see kids as young as 7 kicking and swearing at their mothers and just being horrible. When I then try and chastise the child by saying “that’s not nice, apologies to your mum” the child just ignores me or refuses and the mother laughs it off. I even had one mum try to tell me off for telling her child off for being rude! It’s mad.

This show highlights something that i think is important to highlight. Most kids are expected to move out at a time when they cant afford to do so. This is a couple with 2 incomes and they still dont have THAT much money so for the average single person at this young adult age its near impossible to be on your own unless you've got a really great career.

They look so much older than 18, more so resemble a mid 20s couple. When I was in college and started buying my own groceries, it hit me how expensive life can be. And I kept it easy with my food purchases, just the necessities ie cereal, milk, pasta and salad and that type of food.

We grew up doing chores. I dried dishes, dusted, started out ironing my dad's hankies and moved on to skirts, shirts and dresses, helped in the kitchen, setting table and clearing...mom and dad did not do everything. It's how you learn. ..you make cookies with mom and then on your own...hang out the wash or take it down...fold and put away. Make your bed every morning etc. Your parents are not you slaves. This is disgraceful.

Sadly his Mum has made him the way he is as I'm guessing she has never got him doing anything! At that age I was very unwell and a lot of time bedridden, and I felt so guilty for the things my parents offered to do for me. I would have loved their energy at that age, I would have been conquering the world! Emma seems to know how to do thing, and her boyfriend has just made her lazy!
