I am a film student and I keep telling people that this is my No. 1 movie ever. No one seems to care. People are too stupid and washed out emotionally to appreciate such a masterpiece.
Just curious, how old are you...? Edit: I'm only asking because I completely agree with you and I would be shocked if you say you're like...19 or something. Lol.🙃
This movie fascinates me. It's so morbid yet beautiful, every line of dialogue feels necessary. I didn't finish it in a good mood but I felt I had experienced something special just from watching it
the perhaps intentional spilling to get another drink and the dexterity he shows immediately thereafter while being aware of and lighting her cigarette is outstanding - he is master of both and he will carry forth his thoughtful plan.
The very thought of you makes my heart sing Like an April breeze on the wings of spring And you appear in all your splendor My one and only love The shadows fall and spread their mystic charms In the hush of night while you're in my arms I feel your lips, so warm and tender My one and only love The touch of your hand is like heaven A heaven that I've never known The blush on your cheek whenever I speak Tells me that you are my own You fill my eager heart with such desire Every kiss you give sets my soul on fire I give myself in sweet surrender My one and only love My one and only love
My one and only love... 길을 지나다가...혹은 라디오에서 이 음악이 흘러 나오면 어김없이 이 영화의 한 장면이 머리 속에 떠오릅니다.
its a real achievement to create a film with such beauty, with a storyline that is devoid of hope. to create on screen love with characters with such ground breaking flaws. stunning film (im 20, only watched this recently, and am so impressed with the tone and simplicity of the story)
Nick Cage is a very good actor....I dont care what the haters and critics say!. They laugh at me @USC film school when I tell students Cage is a generational talent!
Nicolas Cage is truly one of a kind & I'm not just saying that just to say it. There's nobody else out here like him, he's not like the rest of the cookie-cutter Hollywood actors. He's definitely number 1 in my book.
To be fair, roger Ebert, the most famous film critic ever, said nic cage was great, ranked this as the best film of 1995, 7th best film of the 90s, at least he realised Nic’s talent as an actor
@@hammill444 well I'm that person thus my name. I love getting totally wasted out of my mind and watching and commenting on youtube. Being indoors is where I do all my drinking because I can't afford to drink out. I drink equivalent of a round a litre worth of whiskey and I'm sure I drink more than that at times because I find extra high strength beer cans like the one in my photo lying around my room that I don't remember going to the shops for
Fun fact, Nicholas cage did method acting for this role. Obviously not drinking as much as his character but did drink sometimes in this role...great acting
@@cactusmalone hell yea lol like I said he won’t drinkin as much as his character but still drank sometimes to atleast feel some. Definitely not compared to his crazy character. His character was on another level.
@@babynieve9612 Yes, but not in Las Vegas but in Huntington Beach, CA. this past Saturday evening. Her addiction is meth/fentanyl and we spent the evening 'cuddling' each other in bed trying to go to sleep and at the same time keeping warm from the chilly cold wind.
@@babynieve9612 I was similar to a “sera” type, minus the prostitution and without knowing this person drank, but desperately needed someone and somewhere, following supposed bad circumstances fallen upon him. Lies and more lies came out, that erased an initial charm and incredible musical gift that he had. I learned too late that he was an alcoholic who, at the end, beat me and could have killed me. Total change from the person I met initially, when I could have said at the beginning what Sera said at the end, “ I loved him, I really really loved him…”
Sometimes a drink is something to do to start a night. Other times it is a way to relax. And other times a way to meet new people and be somewhere. That is how it begins for social drinkers who find themselves by themselves more often then not. As for binging -- that, I think, happens when something got in the way. Something got in the way of NC.
Alcohol is legal because of prohibition. And I guess it sucks to be where you're at, move to a legal state where you dont pay 45$ for a gram of trimmings. I have 2 herb plants growing in my backyard and I am also an alcoholic drug abusing polyaddict. It's not that black and white for some, many alcoholics smoke bud as well as it's great for hangovers. Weed+an opiate every morning and it's almost like you didnt even remotely posion yourself
After watching this movie I revealed a new actress that I immediately fell in love with - Elisabeth Shue! After that I watched about 80-85% of movies with her.
Elizabeth Shue man is she GORGEOUS just SEXY, SULTRY and so full of TENDERNESS just love the chemistry between her and Nicholas Cage. Reminds me of when Harry met Sally that scene in the park and this scene in Las Vegas Boulevard man American Film Making at its best and the music just adds flavor.
He doesn't want to eat because a $10 meal is a bottle of hooch. Principly he is defeating himself if he goes through the process. I feel like that when I scale down and cannot save enough to pay for things I am working on. I understand him completely.
If you are his director and he is acting well then you know you’re movie is doing great. But nic also does movies for money and he doesn’t care about them so acts shit
