We took a weekend off from NYC, hopped on a train and made our way to Catskills to stay in a Getaway House cabin. *** What was inside the envelope? I forgot to film it, but it was our bill. HAHA Just kidding. It was just a nice reminder to unplug once in a while and tips on how to do it! :)

This was around the end of February! I'd wager it would be colder when you go just because it's been freezing in NYC since autumn started, which hasnt been the case the past 2 years we've lived here.

Hi! We took a cab because there weren’t any Ubers available. I believe we paid around $20, which is probably what an Uber would cost. Hudson is a lot more gentrified now and quite populated compared to when we went so there might be uber services available now. :)

We didn’t take an uber, we called a cab company Getaway recommended to us. I believe we paid around $10 for the cab ride!

Sorry I can’t remember the name of the cab company anymore but once you’re booked, just email Getaway to ask which cab company is best. The cab company we took knew where to take us and when we left they picked us up and knew which cabin we were at when we gave the name. So the cab company drives around guests a lot. It wasn’t so bad, even though Uber is more convenient. You just call and they’ll send someone over!

I’m a new fan because CatbirdNYC (I’m a fan of their stacking rings) tagged your photo on IG. Curious if you’re Filipino because of that last name.
