I do high end audio gear videos. In my Behind The Scenes Series I talk about my journey in making the videos as someone new to videography and my transition from Sony vs Canon.

I strongly recommend considering 28mm focal length. If you can use camera lenses, the Sigma 28mm 1.4 is an absolute reference level lens that is super cheap considering its quality.

Yeah but there's some good insights in there non the less. Loved the passion. Canon cameras just have a certain look that's much different to Sony

Thanks! Yeah - they give the video a "thumbs down' as if that somehow lets them show their hurt feelings rather than them being honest about this video being about my personal opinion. LOL

Great video. It's always interesting hearing about the process of switching systems. It's always neat how a new camera can ignite a creative vision and vibe.

I agree. There is something beyond the specs and features that just makes me love it. Though I am still a bit intimidated with it as I learn. LOL

I agree that it's essential to get gear that inspires you, 100%. I disagree when you said you "outgrew the Sony" its equally a fantastic camera, you didn't even get started with it. But that's ok, get what you like (we all like built in ND). Strange choice with your lens selection (being as though you are only budgeting for 1), but if that's the limitation you enjoy working within, more power to you. I shoot C500ii/R5c Zeiss ZE kit (I tend to favor 28mm), Sigma Art. Curious what you're doing for focus, you might like the Tilta Nano ii, been running mine though some testing lately.

Thanks for watching and your comment. I tried 8 different lenses on the Sony. It's a great camera but it just never gave me the look I was looking for (purely subjective). I just couldn't connect with it somehow (again, purely personal preference). With the Canon, I find I bond with the camera and it's much easier to get the look I want out of it with less effort. Granted, I still have a ways to go, but I just find the Canon inspires me more. The Sony is technically a great camera. It just wasn't the one for me.

This from a guy who's channel has videos of playing Minecraft on it. LOL. Don't like these kinds of videos? Then don't watch them. Pretty easy solution.
