Ben always turn engine off first before you turn off ignition also put tape round lines before cutting line reduces the fraying cut in the middle of the tape 👍😉

By the way guys I just want to tell you I've been watching pretty much since day one and I must say at this point I feel almost a member of the family. LOL and one of the biggest differences that's noticeable is how your daughter has grown into a mature young lady over the years. What a delightful well-mannered child she is. She's going to have just the past experiences in life growing up and I support both of you in your adventures with her. I find your videos so refreshing that you don't put on airs and try to pass only beautiful light over all aspects of voting. Keep this Venture going and I'll be there for every their release. All the best

Congrats!!! The boat looks great! The holes in the sail with metal reinforcing rings are called a kringle, but most people refer to the holes by their function, so call them reefing points. Looks like the white line goes to the first reef and the red line to he second reef.

Congrats on the first sail. I would reconsider the genoa track as I often use it to depower the sail in heavy winds by moving it aft and flattening the sail. Having a true block will also reduce friction and wear on your jib lines.

Wish we could have met up, but traveling opposite directions makes that hard! After 19 days on the ICW from Key West I am in VA. Pulled into my slip today. It's cold here. Wish I was still there! Another great video. I really liked how you did fade from black and white to color at the beginning. I just started following you and the family about a year ago. Thus, I am also catching up on your earlier videos. I just finished the one where you are in Hope Town and climbed the lighthouse. Way to overcome your fear of heights (or at least face it). Just a side note, once at top of the lighthouse, you can go through that small hatch to the outer walkway to do a 360-degree walk around. I'm sure you will do this next time 😁

Great job on your first sail, congratulations. I would move your reef lines' bitter ends on the boom so they are slightly aft the cringle so when you set your reef you can get proper tension along the foot of the reef. Safe sailing and enjoy.

Think with the visible bruising without any specific trauma, maybe check with your doctor for some blood work. From a retired medical person.
@Sailboatstory
@Sailboatstory Год назад
Thanks. Visible bruising is common in weight lifters. My injury seemed to be along the same lines from heavy overuse of specific muscles.
@allynonderdonk7577
@allynonderdonk7577 Год назад
I take a lot of those pills you are everyday. The bruising can be signs of Iron deficient anemia, but it mostly effects women but it can happen in men. Also it might mean your systolic blood pressure can be elevated under the stress of exertion, and you aren't getting enough blood to your muscles to keep them supplied with oxygen.
