Yes girl, just live, every day, make the best of it. Age, and getting old, is relative. When I was a little kid, 30 seemed old. Then I turned 30, and 50 seemed old. I’m 57 now, and 80 seems old. My mother(in law) is 81, but she doesn’t seem old to me. Stay active, keep moving, keep enjoying, this one life we get.

I am sad the colab is over for now, I really hope you and Hannah do another one. Hannah looked sad after you left.

The older you get, the faster the years go by. Trust me on this. Life is like a roll of toilet paper... the closer you get to the end, the quicker it goes. And that truly sucks.

All I want in my life is to find like minded friends my age. I have absolutely no one. I am free spirited and want to be in the forest. I don't want to party and get trashed. Im 19 and live in Colorado. I have friends, but no one who cares about how they live their lives or who want to be free and live with a purpose. It's so hard to be alone in that aspect.

I feel like my impression of you has morphed now through the videos of your trip with Hannah. Before you were this idyllic almost like old-timey cottage woman who weaved her own clothes and had a garden and cooked beyond healthy and maybe was a little mad 🤪 and you weren’t relatable but you were aesthetic and dreamy and now you’re a normal twenty something year old woman who talks about boys and eats snacks and just wants to have fun. You feel more real and normal and not at a level of perfect that personally, I could never attain. Even seeing you hang with your mountain friends was like “this is pretty but my friends and I don’t sing songs and run though snowy mountains together” but now it’s like “my friends and I definitely lay out on the beach and drink wine”. So this was refreshing to see.

People need people, it’s nice to see that you guys got together when you both needed to not be cold and alone:) I wish the best for both of you and everyone❤️

You are so right Isabel. Grandma told me to enjoy my youth because time would go by faster. She was so right. Years have become months, and months have become days. I so miss my Grandma so very much. I have lived quite a life, though perhaps not as adventurous as you. 41 years in Alaska living almost off the grid in Wasilla for the last 10 years of it. It was incredible, of course. After my parents retired from their dental business and moved to Tennessee, I promised them when they felt the time was right I would move down closer to then to be on hand when they felt they needed more help due to possible infirmities. That time did not happen, but events came together in such a way that almost 3 and a half years ago I packed up what I could, loaded a trailer to a jury-rigged hitch on my 2010 Toyota Camry along with my two cats in their carriers and drove from Alaska to Tennessee. Managed to land a job in North Carolina just before moving, and so after spending a little time in Tennessee, I moved on into Hickory, NC. I admit I was scared shitless by the move. Settled in one place for so long and never having made such a journey in my adult life was the root of it, I think. But thank God I did! Driving through Alaska, Canada and then across the country are all experiences I will never forget and am so Blessed to have taken. Not one to really take life or love (I will not bore you with those three great heartbreaks) for granted, things got tough after my brother passed from a very short battle with liver cancer, leaving a wife of ten years and daughter of 6 behind. More details I could go into but suffice to say when you were speaking of enjoying all things little and great that life has every day, oh yes by Jove, I am so right there with you. I even accept and embrace the sadness that comes even two years after my brother’s passing, grateful that the love for him and memories of him are such that the loss, though lessens as time passes, remains so poignant. Hell, I work 4 10-hour days a week and am grateful for those and the 3-day weekends, and I could, again, go into so much else, such as now sharing a sort of duplex with my parents who are now, in fact, in need for my regular help and am so very damn grateful to be able to give back to them what the have given me, now in their 83rd years. I ramble on, but simply wished to thank you for and reinforce your wise words on enjoying all Life has.

Dear Isabel, many times I've thought about writing you a letter of gratitude with the phrase "oh my gosh wow" on it. But seriously, I think this my most favorite films of yours. I LOVED the scenes with these magical trees with the white hanging stuff on it (I sadly have no idea what they are named after, I never saw one of those in real life). The sun breaking through the trees and its warm rays shining into the camera, seemingly lightening up all of us from the inside out, gifting people in their darkest hours (I am one of those) a little light. Thank you, for hanging in there and keep creating your magnificent art. I will never get tired of hearing "oh my gosh wow" or "holy smokes" as I adore your rawness. I appreciate people who are down to earth, living with purpose, gratefully connected with nature. You are one of those persons of whom I will think and smile about, with sparkles of joy in my eyes, when I am old and thankfully saying goodbye to this lifetime on earth. My heart is warm and now I am going to bed with a little bit more hope for a new day and a timely spot for therapy in a psychosomatic clinic. I am sending you lots of love, Jasmin

Make sure you get Nokian snow tires next time you need tires. Amazing in snow. That 4runner (assuming it's 4wd) should have no issue on your road there.

I came over from Hannah's channel! I literally got half way through this video and just got hit with a wave of emotions and started to cry a little. I was happy for these 2 gorgeous women to be doing something that they love and enjoy so much. I was sad that I wasn't with them, or at the very least, out doing something similar. I started to remember all the joy I had as a kid when my family and I went on vacations, which brought on the depression of being an adult and not going on vacations any more. All in all, I love both of you girls! I love your videos, and I can't wait to see what you two do in the future! 🥰

As a young man I had the wanderlust in spades. I HAD to move and see and do. Which is why I like their channels. But, just like these girls, I found the cold loneliness as well as the beauty and serenity. There was a point when the introspection in the wilderness experience brought the understanding of my own inner struggles with a degree of relief and allowed the creativity to flow. An amazing rite of passage and maturation for me. And then the need to go home. (Or in my case to create a home.) I thank God for my wanderings and the lessons he gave me for it has been the basis for the strength in the rest of my life.

Isabelle Paige, I made some cookies loosely based off your recipes. I have cut all processed sugars from our diets in the past month and a half and I was seriously craving something sweet so bad. I had some plain figs from our local health food store and some oat meal so I ground the oats into flour, used my figs and some coconut milk to make the paste, salt, vanilla, cinnamon, pecans, and shredded unsweet coconut and 12 mins at 350f later we had some healthy cookies. And oh. my. word. They were SO yum!! I thought you might be happy to know you have influenced my family to eat healthier!! ❤️ Thanks for being you. 😊

Good for you two, doing all of these adventurous things while young. It's not that they can't be done when older; however, the older one gets, the more responsibilities they take on, and the less time and money there is for free spirited flings. My bestie and I did the same thing when we hit 18...only in Europe! Had a blast, made so many memories. So glad we did, because she died suddenly in our early 30's. Life is too short for wasted and missed opportunities. Keep doing what you're doing, and keep sharing with all of us. I for one get an enormous kick out of it all, and it brings back so many happy times😎🥰✈

So many emotions here, the sweetness of friendship, beauty of shared experiences, realization of ones own finite existence/precious life/time, bitterness of parting ways, joy of family and the familiar home; this is what is real and worthy of your attention. When you arrive home your mother and brother greet you with love and you see the evidence of their thriving, this is all evidence that no human thrives alone. This is why Hannah's experience of alone is greater than yours (at this time, when she returns to her empty van). A great example of how to live a happy life lies in these experiences.

This has to be one of the best off the grid channels I've watched and I've watched a lot. I'm 54 years old and going off grid this year, so excited. I've had a great life so far can't wait for the next 40-50 years. Isabel you're such a beautiful soul and an inspiration!

Your very wise for your age. I can attest, your grandmother was right. My grandfather told me when I was young that life goes by really fast. Unlike you, I didn’t take his words to heart. And now, here I am 65 years on this planet and those years seem like a short story. So, she was right. Make every moment count. Taste, touch, examine, love, hate, everything your path takes you through. Every person you meet or just pass on the street, for one fleeting second, was meant to be there in that moment sharing that space with you. If you ever find your self without something to open a can but can find a sidewalk or some cement ...IF you rub the can a few times on the cement it will tear the top of the can seal open. (not great for soup , but can veggies and more solid stuff it works OK)
