This 3.0L Inline-6 Diesel engine is phenomenal! It's what pushed me into buying my 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison. Between the several upgrades and smooth power delivery, this LZ0 diesel was the best choice. I like this power delivery better than the 6.2L V8 option (we have that in our Cadillac Escalade). The torque is amazing! 305hp and 495tq... power goes on quick and the forged steel internals offer great peace of mind. Forged steel pistons, forged steel connecting rods, and thickened forged steel cylinder walls... Combine that with the upgraded turbo, new cylinder head, new intake cam, new intake valves.... it makes for the perfect setup. The previous LM2 generation of this 3.0L Diesel has a great reputation already, this just took it to a whole new level! Very happy with this purchase so far. What are your thoughts? Still think I should have just bought another Toyota Tundra TRD Pro? lol.
Thanks for watching as always.

Not bad! Side steps are hideous though. Please remove them.
@tonym127
Stop it! Just go grab your old voodoo blue tundra and be done with this nonsense😂
@bryandale7125
Kids love their way overused catchphrases and words, with today everything being a ton of this and a ton of that, using this weight measurement like you would mass.

After buying my 2020 land cruiser, I will never go back to Ford or GM again
@jpdi
I’ve seen people talking about oil replacement costing $1500-2000. That’s not bad at all for 150k miles on the truck. Buddy has an f150 3.5 eco boost with 60k miles he has is about to spend $4k on cam phaser problem they all have
@bryanangelov
No, it is not shocking to me that you bought the best 1/2 ton truck currently on the market. I am a big Toyota fan and I currently own a 21 Tundra, but if I were on the market today for a 1/2 ton truck, I would have bought the Silverado with the 3.0L diesel engine.
@mrketo7077
You trying very very hard to convince yourself man, after GX 550 you are running out of the options, with all due respect 🫡
@drjhunter
I drive a 2017 Tundra -/ it was a SEMA show truck in 2018 for WARN and love it but your fears about Toyota going to a twin turbo V6 seem well founded as they are having issues with that motor . I just bought (kept my Tundra) a 2024 Silverado ZR2 Bison 3.0 Duramax as well - white . Love it so far !
@dietmdew845
I bought a new 2021 GMC Sierra with the 3.0 diesel. 17,000 miles later and I couldn’t be happier with the engine. My best 50 mile running average fuel economy is 37.7 mpg.
@dogodaddy4047
Drop the price 20k and you have a money printer of a truck. Instead they will just sit on the lot racking up flooring line interest.
@midnightvelocity381
Excellent choice. I have a 2022 3.0 Duramax RST and it’s been my favorite truck I’ve owned. I’ve owned Raptors, Tundras, Ram etc.
@Aggieland79
Looking at the 3.0 for my next truck so will be looking forward to your future content on the truck.
@mpiny
May all the good things of life be yours, not only at Thanksgiving but throughout the coming year.

For a guy who buys and sells vehicles so often, i think this is a good move. As reliable as Toyota's are, its kinda moot if you're swapping vehicles out very often. Hot take, the big 3 just make nicer trucks than Toyota . Sure, maybe not as reliable, but still nicer. The f150, Ram 1500 and Silverado/Sierra ive all test driven several times, and the tundra just isnt as refined as any of them. Which makes sense, the big 3 rely more heavily on their full size lineup in their business model then toyota does, so they have a bigger budget to sink into them. Mike sweers himself has admitted that Toyota doesnt have the scalability or the budget that the domestic's have in this segment and they arent trying to attain that and it shows.

Can’t wait for more Bison ZR2 thoughts in vids.
@darrin2053
Just bought a 2024 Trailboss with the 3.0L. Absolutely love it!
@stalkev
Great video, and I appreciate the detail you provided.
@mikeyID
I couldn’t live without a truck. Wish Toyota had a diesel. I owned a 2006 2500hd LBZ duramax for 17 years. Great truck. No issues. Bought it in 05 for $39K. Sold it for $29K. Happy Thanksgiving Untamed. Love the new truck 👍🏼
@michaelj.kastner5165
I have a 3.2L 5-cylinder Power Stroke Diesel- Transit 350-HD, van has 180,000 flawless miles, 0 oil leaks, O issues, Massive Torque!!! Runs excellent after the emissions were removed 😜 . The plastic DEF fluid bottles were polluting the planet more than the exhaust ever could!!!
@copytan2395
I have a 2021 Colorado Bison v6. Best truck I’ve owned. I do all my maintenance and it’s been good to me. Idk why people have such a bad stigma towards GM. I’m coming from a 02 Nissan Frontier, which was an awesome truck, but I wanted to test out Chevy and it was time for an upgrade. I REALLY believe people don’t know how to maintain their vehicles. They go for cheap services. I’ll admit when my truck craps the bed, but it hasn’t. Forget the naysayers who probably never owned a GM. Good on you. You can’t knock it till you tried it. Plus you seem like a car enough guy to maintain your vehicle. Congrats on the truck.
