Elders in the arab world are almost sacred....the more white-haired yu get the more you're respected and honoured.....we are both patriarchal and matriarchal cultures and elders have the biggest status in society ....it comes from Islam where parents are highly respected... The Quran says: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor shout at them but address them in terms of honour. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small."

It is so fun and even more fun to go to the wedding. Lebanese wedding you eat best food and still go home thinner because of the Dabke.

Wow . First time watching Dabka . That older boy in the grey trousers and white shirt who dances on the chair half way through - my word , that man can move some . He's about my age and I didn't think he was going to get up from one of those drops but he did it with style . All respect to him . Going to have to polish up my own act after watching this

Vi vídeos de vários países dançando em hospitais, aeroportos, nas escolas, guardas e policiais tbm. Jerusalema ficou marcada na pandemia do COVID , por unir os povos em torno da paz e solidariedade.
