DLo has to be the main playmaker to start the game with AD finishing. Austin and Lebron seem to get theirs whether on ball or not, so it just makes more sense to get DLo in a rhythm early. Adjust if the lesser defender is guarding Austin to start the game
I don’t think this starting lineup can survive PHX, DAL, BOS, DEN, or any high powered offense. TP guarding opposing teams best player is a recipe for disaster
Because the entirety of their mentality since they got LBJ is that the regular season record doesn’t at all matter. Getting there in order for LBJ and AD to hardcarry a 7 series is all that does. Conversely, DLo has established a reputation of being a regular season star, who is unplayable during the playoffs. The idea behind resigning him was to take advantage of that in the early season to get a good enough record to float the lakers in to a playoff spot for the late season, then trade him for a player who doesn’t completely vanish during the playoffs. It’s also kind of theory behind signing Westbrook. Someone who was supposed to carry them during the early season so that LBJ is fresh during the playoffs. So far it’s not worked out.
The Best Defense is a Good Offense!!! In Today's NBA, there is No Way to Compete @ a High Level and Compete for a Championship 🏆 if You're Offense is Bad!!! DHam was Overly Optimistic and thought He could Develop Our Defensive Players (Cam/Vando/Jaxson) into Offensive Threats in Months and that could take Years while it's easier to put Offensive Players on the Court and ask Them to be better Team Defenders (D'Lo/AR/Prince/Rui/Wood). We need to put Our Best Offensive Groups on the Floor with only 1-Way Defensive Player on the Floor @ One Time. If We continue to play like We did last night, We can get to 4-6 Place. We still need a Trade bcuz AR & D'Lo's Game is too Similar/Redundant. LBJ & Rui's Game is similar as well however, I would Love to keep Rui so, He can step into that Starting PF Role when LBJ leaves.
Lakers did offer malik a 6 mil contract he just refused and bet on himself because he wanted a starting role offered by the bucks.. I do agree that path woukd have been great for the deals but prince is for sure an upgrade over beasley that we couldn't even play in the offs
