Tyler Riley just last season KAT couldnt even back LeBron down into the post. LeBron stood there like a brick wall. In Miami he was reportedly 265. I’m sure the claim holds some type of merit
Imagine growing up your whole life dreaming to be in the NBA, finally making it, only to see the death stare from a player like Bron or Jordan, or get 10 3’s drained in your face by Steph Curry even tho you were right there.. knowing you could do nothing to stop the other guy from going off.. has to be an amazing thing to witness
Kreze202 First off, Lebron played all 4th quarter. And Dirk scored MORE than Lebron in the playoffs. Also rebounds are overrated. Dirk Nowitzki didn't need to rebound cause tyson chandler was on the team.
Lebron in this game was like a 2k created player. A like 99 overall with maxed out passing and shooting and athletiscim and stuff. And on pro difficulty lol
best game of lebron's career.. dude was so focused and intense no emotion shown on any shot dunk 3 or anything in the halftime or post game interviews..GOAT
Everyone likes Darth Vader more than Anakin. He was the prophetical son in Cleveland but he went to dark side in Miami and almost destroyed the universe.
yeah this was a 60 point 20 reb 7 assists 4 steals 2-3 blocks game as long as i'm concerned....he was going for it if need be..he did this in basically 3 quarters worth minutes wise of work...if he plays all 48 hes gettong 60 and 20 and 7 and 4 steals....
can't believe people even argued that durant is better than lebron. last time I checked, Durant isn't capable of taking over a game like this in game 6 or the playoffs
J Gio Sanchez anyone could. that's why durant did it in game 6 vs the warriors. that's why curry carried the warriors over the cavs in game 6 with 25/30 from the field. that's why kobe could carry the lakers over the celtics in game 6. oh wait, none of those happened. stop discrediting this performance by LeBron.
Y'all some lyin ass hoes lol, y'all know none of you said that shit. Every celtics fan was saying the series was over before AND during the game, nobody noticed lebrons "I'm gonna destroy you" face until after the game
SuccessfulMentality at that point I never see him so angry at being down a lead. especially cuz he thought he was gonna have a nice walk through 8 rings.
believe it or not he got emotional in the 2nd interview , he worked very hard for this game he probably was tired and hurt after all the criticisms he is a good man but such rough conditions turned him into a beast
@@EdwardNigm Hatred is powerful. Evil is powerful. It allows you to focus because you're cut off from the living. And the living are alive and unpredictable
Probably my fav. LeBron playoff performance of all time because if he doesn't step up to the plate in this game, I'm not sure his legacy would be the same today almost 9 years later. People have to remember there were questions from the outside about Bron's toughness and ability to step up in big moments. That along with Pat Riley deciding that if they lost to Boston he would break up the Big 3 makes this a game for the ages!
That's what its about. I am a LeBron fan & thats cool to hear. Lots of folks that say that they dont like him will then also proceed to give him NO credit for what he's done.
I'm a die hard C's fan...with that being said... When LeBron retires and they make 2K games based off his legacy (Kind of what they did on NBA 2K11 with Jordan) and you play like one of those tutorial intro games that leads into the Legend of LeBron, THIS better be the first game you play the MARQUEE game into what made LeBron James the legend he is today.
I think this has to be one of the most pivotal games in modern NBA history. After this game, LeBron never lost The East again. Good lord look at the expression on his face at 7:51
+antonio Gomez tru...and also they were down 3-2 before this game. But the fact that he was 22 years old, the fact that he scored 29 of the cavs last 30 pts, the fact that they advanced to the finals , that will always be lebrons best performance ever for me. But i hear the argument of this performance being the best as well
i think this one is more impressive because of the context. his career was at stakes on this game. 22 year old lebron didn't have much to lose at that point of his career, but it was still impressive.
I remember the night i watched this game on live TV, lights were off and i was standing cheering as quite as i could because i worry about people hearing me. I was so happy tho. 2012 bron was such a revenge player, he was focused on getting that ring and this game was the perfect example.
This was legendary. Considering ALL circumstances, this is the best individual performance I’ve ever seen. Most scrutinized player in nba history, game 6, in Boston, fighting off elimination on route to his first ring, etc..
LeBron snapped this game and what's crazy is that his legacy was on the line. Kevin Durant should've done this comeback and beat the team that beat you not join them.
people talking about game 5 2007 cavs vs pistons better than this. Boy, i hope they know what pressure means. This is elimination, whole season, reputation going to south beach, all on the line. This is definitely the best of his career
That Monday game is soooo similar to this one. Back against the wall, legacy on the line, nailing jump shots the entire game, not a lot of passing, just pure dominance.
How is KG going to say that the NBA had a agenda when his team was getting their back blown out by Bron for 3 quarters. Like he was 11/12 at one point bro. 99% buckets. 1% free throw literally. Cooking folks. You can use old age, injuries or being overpowered by the big 3 as a excuse for this loss, but refs? The league? Nah son
going down to 3-2 in the ECF and Finals and coming back for the win, don't know why people hates this man he's one of the greatest to ever play basketball.
When people say "no one feared Lebron" I always point them to this game. Boston went from being sure they were closing the series, to knowing they were done after this game.
Nathan Johnson sorry to tell u LeBron is better than jordan i grew watching MJ i was born in 78 not taking nothing MJ but now officially past his Legacy over Jordan currently
Highlights really don’t even do it justice. He was unstoppable, one of the most amazing performances I’ve seen in any sport. Considering what was on the line. Unreal.
"LeBron can't take over games" Silly folks. He never faced more pressure than this game, and he delivered an all time playoff masterpiece. Salute to the best player I ever seen play.
Looking back I can say this where LeBron really arrived on the scene no one gave the Heat a chance in hell to win this game and LBJ stepped up to the occasion to me still the best game of his career
If he played with this mindset every year, we could be having different discussions rn, maybe could have 5 rings rn. I understand not everyone can repeat the shooting but the mindset to go out and kill the opposition relentlessly is something that he should have carried over
@@jadengrant6063 shit had nothing to do with Jordan, my boy. This was specifically about LeBron’s mental approach to games, that’s it. Not a debate in regards of his place in basketball
No we wouldn't. The discussion would still be the same. He'd have 5 rings because he wouldn't have lost 2011. But other than that he would've lost every other series because the better team won. He showed up in every finals except 2011.
There is something really eerie about how it gets dark when the camera zooms in on that evil-looking expression he had going! LeBron played like a man possessed that night...literally lol!
I'm a LeBron fan, and I thought it was AWESOME!! The camera zoom-in, the image getting dark, and the evil expression. You could see it in his face when he first came out of the locker room along with the rest of the team.
7 years later and still the *greatest* game in LeBrons career. All the criticism he faced back then was legit. “Lord of the Ringless”, “LeChoke”, all the backlash from being the hero in Cleveland to the villain in Miami. This game single handedly saved his legacy and is a great example of LeBron with the “killer instinct”.
I really don't care what anybody says... LEBRON JAMES is the greatest most brutal basketball player i've ever watched. Dudes a TRUE all around badass. Lebron is a living legend! Appreciate him while we still have him
@@erik666111 mj had the advantage of having refs being told to cheat for him. I respect his game but guys like bird, isaiah and magic had to get it out the mud while mj got special treatment its hard to stop a player when the refs determine you cant breathe in his direction unless its a foul. He can thank david stern for everyone of those rings.
@@eibb5136 Bad Boys beat him. They played hardcore wrestling against him for 3 years and he come back every year, again and again... till he (and his team) beat them and destroyed them dynasty... Talking about "special treatment" so that's your excuse? Larry Bird called him a GOD in Jordan's second year in the NBA. Magic called him the greatest in early 90s, Isiah called him the greatest before the 6th title. And in the 90s more teams played a lot better defense than the teams in the 80s. The 80s is super overrated era, especially defense wise. Jordan averaged 10 free throws per game I think only 2 or 3 times in his career, Wilt had seasons with 16, 17 free throws per game, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Karl Malone, Moses Malone all these players had multiple seasons averaging more free throws than Jordan and all of them played before or in the Jordan time... So that "special treatment" excuse is complete false. Try something else.
one of the best single handed performances I have ever seen. I didn't say the best but just one of the best. I was very young when Jordan was playing but do remember some of it. but being older I specifically remember this one. literally from opening tipoff to the end you never thought he was going to miss. the scoring LeBron is the most fun to watch.
Yo...my dude was in the fucking zone, didnt' smile all night just rained down buckets, I think this was his greatest single game playoff performance ever
What a great set of questions by Doris here at the post game interview. She's right, no one plays under the scrutiny or pressure that LeBron plays under
