I would LOVE JJ as a coach...assistant coach. What happened to the times where coaches went through a journey to "learn" to be coaches instead of just being thrown straight into a HC job... A name is not enough, experience is everything.
2:33 Nah you had it right the first time bron is still better than ad. No disrespect to ad but look at crucial games throughout this year and look who preformed better (ad still played good in those games btw)
Lakers fan here. I demand the Lakers hire LeBron as a player, the head coach, the general manager at the same time. I demand to draft Bronny and all LeBron's grandsons when they turned 18. I demand the team to change the name to LeBronkers and change the team logo to this legendary man's face.
Not quite on the player-coach interview/podcast. Pastor, Head Coach, & Starting Celtics Center Bill Russell used to sit for a ton of long-form radio interviews during his last 2 seasons. Interviews particularly for the Black Journalists refused Team & NBA credentials as “real” journalists. Some of those interviews are available to listen to at the Library of Congress, and I encourage every NBA fan to listen to at least 1 from his first HC+Player season Mr.Russell was coaching an old and gutted team, expected to be the bottom playoff seed; never mind making successful title runs in both coaching seasons.
Cassell has been an assistant coach in the league for 15 years. I wonder why he hasn't had a HC job yet. Mostly what I hear is he has a great basketball mind and very respected for his knowledge of the game.
@@johndodo2062 he was second in shooting and 6th in vertical and did really well in the 5v5 games. But whatever you are obviously a casual. The kid had a heart attack. Ofc his college production was smaller
@@jaysonraphaelmurdock8812 dude is getting saltier the more Denver progresses. You can see the jealousy in his eyes and hear it in his voice/choice of words. It's pretty funny. He pulls the I got rings and you don't to Chuck. Jokic is the type of guy to just say, cool.. anyways. Killing someone with kindness always works I guess lol
Sam Cassel is the best choice of the 3. He's doing great in Boston right now and was really well liked in Philly last year. The guards in Boston are doing great and he's a big part of that.
What's there to say about the Nuggets? They're a well ran, we'll constructed team that employs an all time great big and will probably repeat because they're better than any in the east. That's a boring ass video that could have been made at the start of the season and still be relevant.
IMO it's impossible to maintain an authoritative role or mentality as the coach of a team with LeBron cuz ultimately how can other players really respect a coach that the best player still feels more important and influential than. I do think JJ could be an awesome coach he's very smart and has the right mentality with being a players guy but also care about the foundations of bball. Hope JJ gets a shot and also hope it's not ruined by Lebron or lakers
Yup exactly. Whoever comes along isn't really the coach, only in name or title. J.J. joining would just prove he has no pair and will let princess James do it all lol the lakers aren't going to grow until he retires or changes teams again.
Its insane how all the headlines in the NBA media are about LeBron and not about the current NBA playoffs. This is further proof that basketball will be an more enjoyable product when LeBron retires. Enough of the narratives and the headlines. We want to hear about the legacies being created now!
Trading for Westbrook and firing Frank Vogel because he couldn't make a bunch of 35 year old vets play defense completely derailed this Lakers team. KCP going to the Nuggets makes it even worse.
Why wouldn't Lakers give Bronny a chance with or without LeBron there? They had Scottie Pippen Jr. on a 2-way, and Shareef O'Neil played summer league in 2022. Bronny is a freshman, and younger than Pippen was. Not saying he's gonna be a star or anything, but I don't see why Lakers wouldn't at least consider him.
If LA is going after Bronny, I believe they should target the 31st Pick from the Toronto Raptors. Although I believe Toronto is going to ask for a bit to acquire that pick so idk
As a Hornets’ fan, Borrego did a decent job in Charlotte and probably got fired a little too early. He seems more like a developmental coach than a coach to take the team to the Finals.
*LeBron is going to push for whatever his son wants* Bronny will only play with his dad, if he tells his dad to ask for it. Everyone last year was claiming the rumours said was that Bronny & LeBron just wanted to meet on the floor, so LeBron was hoping a in-Conf team would draft him (like young OKC). That makes more sense, because then Bronny’s not immediately expected to thrive like his dad did, and can become a Klay-type high-level role player/starter eventually.
Bronny to OKC just seems like a perfect situation for him and Lebron. Lebron could win a championship with his son realistically while being on a young team building. I feel like nobody talks about OKC
As a Lakers and Hornets fan (I like to suffer), I would like to see Borrego get a second chance, he did well in Charlotte. I think if he had a better supporting cast, a better FO and locker room. He will do good, especially since he can develop too
My prediction: Bron stays, they draft Bronny and they don’t hire JJ. I’m not sure who they’ll hire but there’s no way that they hire a first-time Head Coach again and I also doubt that Bron would want to potentially ruin a business relationship if it goes wrong. If I had to make a guess, James Borrego
I'm not an expert on this matter, but if JJ becomes the Laker's coach could this be considered tampering? does this apply to coaches? idk, the all dynamic doesn't seem the favour the Lakers anyway
I told my brother this...Lebron will go back to Cleveland, where they will draft Bronny, and he will retire there. Whether it's this year or next. It will happen.
If the lakers are smart they would let LeBron walk, trade AD and start over. They need a real rebuild. They haven’t really been great since 2010 even with the 1 ring. There stuck in the middle of the pack.
Ironically, that's the scenario I would bring JJ Redick into. Let him build his own team with his own philosophy along with Pelinka. That way, people understand that this is a rebuild, albeit one that may only take 1 or 2 years. The issue is....besides Anthony Davis, what assets do you have to get draft picks? Austin Reaves? He's the type of guy you want to keep.
so. consider this. Atlanta and LeBron make an agreement. Brony gets drafted as first pick in this draft. LeBron signs with Atlanta for 2 year deal. Atlanta trades Lebron and Lebron and at deadline for million picks. The Great Atlanta Heist.
Lakers know the financial implications for any franchise that loses lebron and said he is wanted back on any terms lol its a business at the end of the day but theyre not winning another title like this
If a smart and sane head coach is looking for a job and sees the vacancy, he will check the roster. The moment he sees the name LEBRON JAMES, he should INSTANTLY REJECT THE COACHING JOB!
Lebron media is the most annoying thing of all time like I forget man is in the league all the time cause he’s so mid but then again I don’t watch espn for that reason they talk about him instead of important players
Why are you wasting your time posting stupid comments when you could simply shut up? This is Tucker‘s channel and he’s making his content, if you don’t like it leave bro
lol?? developing young players? like.. not playing lamelo ball as starter when they drafted him for nearly a season? borrego defenetly is a decent coach but i think developing players isn't the thing i would bring up as his best trait.. or.. as a trait at all 🤣
Hot take: Celtics will find a way to steal Bronny in the draft and then 0 & 7 finally win their first chip next season (*second, if they win it this year)
In a basketball sense, JJ + Bronny going to the Lakers makes no sense. But from the business side, it's a masterstroke. Like when they signed Russ. People will tune in and buy tickets to see another Lebron orchestrated train wreck. I just hope JJ gets the bag because his credibility will be destroyed in the media IMO.
If JJ comes in as head coach he's not really the coach. I mean the lakers ain't have a coach since maybe Vogel. Princess James runs the team and all. If they do get JJ, his son and Young it'd be funny honestly. That still isn't enough to win a chip, but we'll see over the next few months.
Breaking news LeBron James treated himself to a hot dog at the Cavs game and the results of our extensive investigation we have discovered the dog was made in Chicago by a company with ties to a meat vendor in Dallas who employs a payroll company out of Kansas City. What does this mean for Chiefs fans? lol
Bronny is 6'1 210 with a 40 inch vertical and very quick due to being a basketball guard, bro is playing the wrong sport he should stay in college 2 more years and switch to wide receiver on the USC football team if he really wants to have even a tiny chance to be a successful pro athlete in his own right and not just a nepotism draft pick that no one in the league will respect after his dad retires...
I have no clue about the football aspect of your comment (has he ever played football or have the game knowledge to play at the collegiate level?), but your spot on regarding how his basketball career will play out. He will probably stay in the league as 10th-12th man for awhile, but won’t be around long after LeBron retires.
LeBron has been doing this the last 2 years. Nuggets knock him out and he does something to upstage the nba playoffs. The only plan that works is LeBron fakes this crap then he takes an MLE with Denver.. he could Feign "im going to be Jokics first all star teammate since Kenneth Faried." And just like that he is in a position when he is set up for 3more rings and the blow back is not as bad when he went to Miami and when kd went to golden state.
God I hope lakers waste a draft pick and roster spot on a trash undersized barely college level player to appease lebron then max out Lebron for 3 years so it’s a lock that they’ll be god awful yet again and for many years to come. 🙏
If LeChina owns a new NBA team, i reckon he would be the PLAYING OWNER. GM, PRESIDENT. HEAD OF BASKETBALL OPERATIONS, SCOUTING DIRECTOR. He will be a way much worse owner than the basketball G.O.A.T. Michael Jeffrey Jordan
Who cares about Bronny. People give second round picks too much value because of Jokic. If he's a second round pick or undrafted, then just pick him up there, it's literally no big deal
Second round picks since 2016 have become valuable and turned into cornerstone pieces for a franchise's future... if they're lucky and drafted the right player in the 2nd round
@@ColdHoops what you are describing is the Jokic effect. I'm not saying they hold 0 value, but throwing one away means basically nothing in the grand scheme of things
@@Fred_Die You're absolutely right. But when you think about franchises like Charlotte and Detroit, who have been rebuilding forever, those franchises shouldn't just 'toss' second round picks away without giving them an opportunity first
