What's the difference between a LeBron Super Fan compared to a LeBron fan that's a super fan of basketball? I think LIL UNC did a good job covering the stats because there was a lot to comprehend and take in. It was name after name & stat after stat.

@@GhostbustersPhone8489 I explained it and you still asked me whats the difference LoL one will ignore facts evidence and statistics because of their feelings if you a true fan of basketball that simply won't happen do we all have our favorites absolutely take me for instance Chris Paul is one of my favorite players ever and at one point I used to say he was better than Curry and as more facts evidence and statistics came out I gave Curry the nod over Paul easily now because my feelings didn't make me ignore facts and make excuses which is what a Lebron superfan will do 1000% of the time

I'd say he's the goat because in the 90s there wasn't as much talent as the 2000s so he stood out more .. he is def the goat in terms of impact but I don't think he's better than Kobe tbh Kobe was facing great teams every round MJ only 1-2 great teams a season he also never had a bad team in his prime Kobe did so Kobe probably would have won 6-8 as well if he always had a good team either way I have no problem calling MJ the goat because he's basically Kobe in the 90s

@@diegochavez6203 then you are biased, me, I prefer Kobe over Jordan but I will never say Kobe or LeBron(my generation) is better than Micheal. stats, legacy, popularity, accomplishments, global engagements says Micheal is the best in the world. also, I don't think there's no era better than the era of MJ, Kareem, Magic, Bird, SHAQ, Robinson, Malone, Barkley, Ewing, Hakeem, Duncan, penny, payton, thomas and all the legends of the 90s that's era was special. I would definitely say only 2 players can even reach top 10 in today's game where players play for cash and not because they love the game. don't tell me Dangelo Russell type of player who plays only for fame and cash is better than a stark or kerr or a k.Johnson who plays by heart coz they love basketball

I do stats for a living and I keep saying over and over that MJ comes up more than anyone no matter what you try to measure...Lebron comes up a couple times and is impressive, but MJ, Kareem, and Wilt come up more than any other players....Not only does MJ constantly come up at the top, he almost always comes up multiple times at the top...where most players scratch and claw for a top 10, MJ has multiple spots in the top 10....but it's GREAT to see some of the newer player cracking into some of these stat measurements like Luka and Jokic...gives me some hope for the future of the NBA :p

Wilt has 4 of the Top 10 seasons for Win Shares and 3 of the Top 10 seasons for PER. Jordan has one in the Top 10 of Win Shares and 2 in the Top 10 of PER. WILT 1962 PER(32.08) WS(23.11) 1963 PER(31.82) WS(20.94) 1964 PER(31.63) WS(24.98) JORDAN 1988 PER(31.71) WS(21.23)

@oldeskoolnewsreels9927 Год назад
BEST STRETCHES Of the Top 25 seasons for Win Shares, Wilt had 7, Jordan had 5, Kareem had 3 and Lebron has 3. Lebrons weren't consecutive. Wilt had a 4 year stretch and a 3 year stretch, Jordan had a 4 year stretch and Kareem had a 3 year stretch. You'll notice, even though Wilt's scoring went down in his second stretch, his Win Shares stayed about the same. Kareem(71-73) 69.6 WS => 23.20 a year Wilt(61-64) 87.8 WS => 21.95 a year(42.62 ppg) Wilt(66-68) 63.7 WS => 21.23 a year(27.26 ppg) Jordan(88-91) 80.3 WS => 20.08 a year As far as Wilt's playoff performances go, going just by points is pretty simple minded. The only players with a better Career WS per Playoff Game percentage are Lebron and Jordan. If you look at the top players for career playoff Win Shares, Wilt played the least amount of games. An example, Kareem has about 4 more WS than Wilt but played like 77 more games. You'll also see that Wilt's WS stayed the same even with a 15 ppg drop. This is because he could alter his game. He didn't have to score to be dominant. He did everything well. BUT, Kareem from 71 to 73 was a beast. Wilt and Kareem's dominance in these time periods are also backed up by an adjusted shooting analytic called FG ADD. Let's take it a step further.The more a team wins, the more Win Shares are available to be allotted. So, if we divide career WS by playoff games won(WS per Playoff Game Won), this is how it looks: Wilt .3575 Jordan .3341 Lebron .3200

@@oldeskoolnewsreels9927 love the numbers...as I said, MJ, Kareem, and Wilt come up the most in all-time stats and they should be the choices when picking a GOAT, Lebron simply isnt even close...some great accomplishments sure, but not the goat...check this out: Of the all-time-leaderboard top 10's below...(as in how many times they LED the NBA in the category in their career - top 10 of these categories) All-Time Leaderboard #1 spots (led the NBA more times than anyone else) MJ Leads 12 of 21 categories he is in Wilt Leads in 7 of 22 categories he is in Kareem Leads in 4 of 15 categories he is in LJ tied for 1st in value over replacement player with MJ at 9x - soon to have the all-time points record So LJ is tied for first in ONE category...he will soon lead in TWO (all time points) but that's only because he's done it over 20yrs which Kareem did as well...great accomplishment but does NOT make him the goat...Karl Malone and Kobe have always had more points than Jordan but no one has said Karl Malone is the GOAT. Not to mention that the other three are in waaaaay more categories, so they've led the NBA in MORE categories MORE times than any other player...that speaks volumes. Wilt is actually in 1 more category than MJ...but no one leads #1 in as many categories as MJ at 12 for how many times they led the NBA in their career in the category...almost double Wilt...LJ isnt even in the conversation imo...and the reason LJ doesn't lead more categories? MJ....MJ is 1st to LJ's 2nd in Box+/-, Offensive Box +/-, and tied in Value over replacement player...Lebron doesnt even make it past #4 in the other categories except for #3 in minutes played and minutes per game.... @@V12BenzAMG Well, I'm not sure Wilt has the stats to fit in most of those analytics. Also, a lot of them are kind of repetitive. If you just go by major categories, Wilt led the league 7 times in scoring, 11 times in rebounding, 9 times in FG%, 3 times in TS%, one time in assists, 8 times in WS and 8 times in PER. If you go by major categories, Wilt is ahead of Kareem and Jordan. Kareem has 9 season leading in PER and WS. Jordan has 7. Even though there's nothing "efficient" about PER. I "use" it because other people do but it is kind of useless. It totally rewards "chucking". I prefer FG ADD(points added). I like to use modified GAME SCORE to compare older and newer players. MJ and Wilt actaully are just about tied in career playoff GAME SCORE(modified). Jordan's actually goes down due to turnovers if non-modified. Wilt's would probably go up due to blocked shots. BUT, I agree, Wilt, Jordan, Kareem are top 3. I differ in that Lebron is top 4. I can show that using WS and some other categories. I'm old and don't really like Lebron, BUT he is a great player, imo. I used to think Bird was better until I really started crunching numbers. Going just by stats and major analytics, Lebron is better than Bird. Took me a while to accept that.

I just remember that every single time MJ walked out on to that court, he was bringing it!! If you were guarding him, you were in for a long night. And even if you played the best defensive game of your life he would still humiliate you. It is not as easy to see in the highlights but if you were lucky enough to watch the entire games that Jordan played in, you would see that he had a dominating spirit that permeated his team and the opponents. He expected a lot from his teammates but he expected a hell of a lot more from himself.

the 1962 season was a joke, especially the 100 pt game. His teammates hack a shaq'd the opposing team to get him more shots...sometimes up to 20 in a quarter and pace contributed to his massive rebounds. His seasons at the end of his career were more honest.
@MicroWave233
@MicroWave233 Год назад
@scottb3034 what are you talking about, that was one of the best seasons in nba history. It wasn't even his idea to score 100, it was his coaches and teammates after seeing him score 41 at the half and seeing the Knicks starting center phil jordon was out from a hang over, wilt took advantage of that gave the arguably best scoring performance in nba history. Also things like hack a shaq weren't a thing back in the 60s, players were allowed to be way more physical and maul you before its called a foul. It just goes to show wilts dominance that can trancend any era.

@@MicroWave233 it's a fraudulent season, i don't get how that is hard to understand. and i am aware it wasn't his idea....that's why i faulted his teammates...pay attention. his teammates disgracing the game doesn't make it any less invalid. the knicks were a joke that year and what wilt's team was doing was classless and insulted the game of basketball. and i am talking about hack a shaq where they fouled the guy unnaturally (rather than during the natural flow of gameplay) in order to force free throws and game the system. the warriors were fouling early in the possession which was the same tactic teams used to do off ball to shaq to force his free throws until the NBA had to alter the rules to combat that. the 100 pt game has a shameful past which is why it isn't lauded the same way as kobe's game or jordan's 63 pt playoff game or even something like wilt's 69 win lakers team. those are brought up on the regular. the 100 pt game is only brought up in connection to wilt's failures or kobe's game.

@scottb3034 you are a huge wilt hater I see, anything to discredit his legacy and up lebrons right? Get out of my face with that non sense, the Knicks were fouling him like crazy cause they wanted to stop him from reaching 100 points and he was known for not being a great foul shooter but that night he shot 28/32. Yeah that crap was all planned.)...but thanks for assuming. And there isn't any "hating" wilt if I just said his later, less dominant years were his best years dunce. He actually played within the system and found success and his teammates weren't being asshats. Btw, the knicks fouling him just adds the sham that game is, you are only HARMING your case. There is absolutely 0 reason to praise that game from any side and all involved should be ashamed. Exalt one of Wilt's 6 70 pt games, that's less BS. There are 4 WS allotted for each game won. Here's an example. Player A has 10 WS and his team won 40 games. Player B has 12.5 WS and the team won 50 games. Player B has more WS, but they both had the same % of WS per game won. That's why I like to use WS per Game Won instead of WS per 48, which is a ridiculous analytic. The WS have all ready been handed out, then you adjust for minutes and there are suddenly more WS available. It defeats the purpose of WS all together. I'll use MJ as an example. His first 3 years and his last two years, his teams records in the playoffs was 1 and 8. He had 0.7 WS for those games. Using 44 mpg, his WS per 48 would have been around .0850. Pretty bad, actually. There are only 7 players who have more than 30 career playoff WS. Lebron, Jordan, Duncan, Kareem, Magic, Wilt and Shaq. Lebron and Wilt are the only ones who didn't play for a Top 4 coach. If you figure WS per Game. The order is Jordan/Lebron/Wilt. If you figure WS per Game Won it's Wilt/Jordan/Lebron.

@AstonishingRedd Here's another stat never used. These are the players who led the league in Win Shares the most seasons. Kareem(9) Wilt(8) Jordan(8) Lebron(5) Is that a coincidence?
@oldeskoolnewsreels9927
@oldeskoolnewsreels9927 Год назад
@AstonishingRedd There is no way to really measure across eras. Unless guys played against each other. An example, Kareem set the single season record for Win Shares in 1972. Wilt had the second most Win Shares that season. SO, Wilt was pretty much the second best player during Kareem's absolute peak season. Look at FG%. So many things affect that. Rules, officiating, pace, etc. Can't really judge across eras. BUT, you can evaluate against the players you played against. Win Shares show that Wilt, Kareem, Jordan and Lebron were the best players of their respective eras. Even in the playoffs, Wilt has a higher WS per 48 in the playoffs than Kareem, Russell, Shaq and Hakeem. And, he played 47.3 mpg for his career in the post season. So the real thing they should be measuring is WS per Game, which puts Wilt at the top with Jordan and Lebron for playoff Win Shares.

Of the Top 25 seasons for Win Shares, Wilt had 7, Jordan had 5, Kareem had 3 and Lebron has 3.

Per game all-time at his position MJ is 1st pts,1st blk,2nd stl,3rd reb & 5th in ast. That’s top 5 in every category,top 3 in 4 outta 5 categories.He’s the only only player in nba history to accomplish that. He’s #1 all-time in P.E.R. in both regular season and playoffs. He’s #1 all-time in win shares per 48 in both regular season and playoffs. He’s #1 all-time in BPM in both regular season and playoffs. He’s #1 all-time in VORP per game in both regular season and playoffs. He has the most scoring titles all-time. He made the most all-def 1st teams all-time. He lead the league in scoring and made all-def 1st team at the same time 9 times. Wilt,Russell,Kareem,Bird,Lebron,Magic,Kobe,Hakeem,Shaq,Steph,Kd never did it once.Not one time. He has the most trophies all-time with 22 in 1,072 games. For context Bill Russell and his 11 championships is 2nd all-time with 17 trophies in 963 games. Lebron is 3rd all-time with 16 in 1,410 games so far. Kareem is 4th all-time with 15 trophies in 1,560 games. And for the newly minted wilt fans him and his 68 individual records is 10th all-time with 9 trophies in 1,045 games.

@@dc4690 Let's list Kareem, Wilt and Jordan by their best seasons for Win Shares and where that season is all time. Kareem 1972(1) 1971(5) 1973(7) Wilt 1964(2) 1962(4) 1967(6) 1966(8) Jordan 1988(9) Let;s list their ring seasons in their "peak" seasons. Kareem 1971(5) Wilt 1967(6) Jordan 1991(18) It's mathematically impossible for MJ's "peak" to be better than either Wilt's or Kareem's. Just so you know.

@oldeskoolnewsreels9927 Год назад
@@dc4690 I'm going to explain why PER and WS per 48 are not the best analytics to go by. PER There is nothing "efficient" about the PER rating. It actually rewards "chucking.: The more shots you take, the higher your score will be. "452Hollinger argues that each two point field goal made is worth about 1.65 points. A three point field goal made is worth 2.65 points. A missed field goal, though, costs a team 0.72 points. Given these values, with a bit of math we can show that a player will break even on his two point field goal attempts if he hits on 30.4% of these shots. On three pointers the break-even point is 21.4%. If a player exceeds these thresholds, and virtually every NBA player does so with respect to two-point shots, the more he shoots the higher his value in PERs. So a player can be an inefficient scorer and simply inflate his value by taking a large number of shots." PER strives to measure a player's per-minute performance, while adjusting for pace. A league-average PER is always 15.00, which permits comparisons of player performance across seasons. All stats are normalized to league average, normalized to pace and then divided by minutes. So. inefficeint chuckers are rewarded and doubly rewarded for playing less minutes. It's NOT a good analytic. WIN SHARES per 48 For those that don't know, Win Shares are allotted by the number of wins your team had. If your team won 60 games, there are 240 win shares handed out. If you won 50, there are 200 available. So, the better your team, the more chances for win shares. Going by WS per 48 is kind of ridiculous because all things are already taken into account. It's like adding minutes to the game, so it's actually more than how many games you won. Which defeats the purpose of win shares to begin with. I'll give you an example using, Jordan. In 1985, The Bulls lost in the first round and won only one game. MJ had 0.7 win shares for that post season. He was 28th place for the number of win shares but was 5th place for WS per 48. He had .7 WS in 4 games, which is .175 WS per Game. His WS per 48 was .1980. Just to show how important a team is, Jordan only has 0.7 win shares for his first 3 years and his last 2 years combined because he only won ONE playoff game in those 5 years. What they SHOULD be using is WS per Game and WS per Game Won. BUT, we all know why they don't do that.

MJ's Bulls won championships in 6 of 9 seasons in the 90's. Kobe's Lakers have a dynasty with championships in 5 of 11 seasons between 2000 and 2010. Lebron has no three-peat and no dynasty.
