Such an amazing rope experiment to demonstrate advantage of friction in balancing 1000gms with 80 gms. OMG. Such nice, intuitive and simple example.

All the problems were excellent, particularly the last one, though it looks simple, requires proper concentration to solve it correctly in the first attempt.

In that tree surgeon problem how did you choose which is T1 and T2 sir ??

Hi bro, In tree example the rope is trying to rotate in clockwise direction which aids the person to come down. So the friction will act in anticlockwise direction on the rope, which is in the opposite direction of tension T2 on the rope.

see the last lectures on friction you will get it!....well due to the tension applied block tends to topple that's why normal reaction does not does not pass through centre of mass
