I’m still convinced Alomomola was originally meant to be a lovedisc evolution but since they introduced it in Black and White where there were supposed to be no connections to previous Pokémon they decided to make it a stand alone pokemon P.S. specifically I think it was originally designed as a GEN four Pokémon that was going to be another new evolution to an older Pokémon but it didn’t make the final cut.

Just found out the new little grass type is named Smoliv. As in Smol Olive. I think I like that almost as much as Lechonk.

I hope for Lechonk's evolution, they just make him bigger, slightly rounder, and give him small tusks. To me, that'd be the the perfect design for him. Also, can't wait to see the regional bird.

The themes of these games seem to be past and future. Scarlet looks very traditional: the professor is dressed in what is essentially a loincloth and the legendary looks right out of an Aztec cave painting or statue. Whereas, everything in Violet looks futuristic: the professor looks like he just stepped out of Tron and the legendary looks like a robot version of the scarlet one.

10:59 empoleon has good stats all around except speed, which is its only base stat below 80, and water-steel is an amazing typing unique only to empoleon giving it an amazing 10 resistances and only 3 weaknesses. also, in every single format, empoleon has been unarguably more viable than torterra. this meme is just flat out wrong.

Lechonk actually has a somewhat depressing name origin. It comes from the word "lechon" which is basically spit roasting a pig. So lechon + k = lechonk. My prediction is that it becomes a part fire type

Watching the trailer again, it's like the textures haven't loaded in yet; everything is so smooth looking. Guess that's the sacrifice we have to accept for a fully open world pokemon game on the switch, but it is still pokemon so I'll still play the crap out of it 😆

While I wouldn't say that Mytey is literally Kirby, I do think he wouldn't be out of place as Kirby's friend. I could totally see them just hanging out or saving the universe together. Especially since they're both capable of changing between a multitude of abilities pretty much on the fly.

I can relate to the then&now meme. I remember, when Ruby & Sapphire came out, being impressed that my character cast reflections in water and left footprints in sand. Pokémon graphics were never meant to be photorealistic. A cartoony look will always be the best fit.

Pokémon sport minigames: The Alolan anime introduced lots of Pokémon sports, such as Pokémon Base and Pokémon Ping Pong, so Ikve always wondered if these could ever be used in a spin-off, but they could also be added as minigames in this upcoming game 4. Ability to rotate camera angles regardless of location (being an open-world game) 6.Multiple side-quests (accompanied with cutscenes and added lore/plot/story) 7. Long, in-depth post-game 8. I never got the hate for Empoleon. Sure it might not handle Infernape being faster and fighting but I’m never worried about sending it out against Torterra. Very few Empoleon don’t have ice beam and unless they have a focus sash/band it ain’t living an ice beam. I always pick Empoleon.
