I never knew I needed giraffe Raikou in my life, but it has already become one of my favorite pokémon of all time and I've seen like 3 seconds of footage of it.

I was surprised they gave new evolutions to Applin and Duraludon immediately after the gen they were introduced. But I'm not complaining at all. Dipplin being a candy apple is really cute, and Duraludon (while great and already having a G-Max form) honestly felt like it needed an evolution. And hey, whether you like Archaludon or not, _Eviolite Duraludon_ 😏

Something I think people are not realizing is they showed Fossil Pokémon. Bastiodon and Cranidos, fossil Pokémon from Sinnoh. I’m pretty sure this is the first time we have seen fossil Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet. If I’m wrong, then so be it but I am also positive that they said there were not gonna be any fossil Pokémon, but now we are getting them.

Dipplins design to me is a 10/10 and the name is a 12/10! It’s just SO PERFECT! I normally hate puns because of how cheesy they are, but that name is just so perfect even though it’s a pun to me because it’s actually a clever pun.

LOL I just watched John's reaction to the trailer and I just love how both him and Mikey both automatically called the Paradox Raikou (Raging Bolt)"Giraffe" I love how they had two separate reaction videos (though John's was a stream) and both were on the same wavelength when it came to Paradox Raikou Raging Bolt xD

Since Raikou is said to have drawn inspiration from the mythical electrical creature: the Qilin, it is worth to note that it is also pronounced/spelled in japanese as Kirin; which means giraffe, so that might be the reason behind its new paradox appearance

So, Perrin is definitely a descendant of Adaman, right? Also, I think Briar is a descendant of Irida.

Clearly the treasure of Area Zero is the friends we made along the way. Also that was a very muted reaction to "gym leader rematches," something that should have been available in the base game (beyond the pre-Area Zero ones)

Brontosaurus the dinosaur who's name literally translates to thunder lizard. I also love how he talks about wanting them to reveal the release date and stops the video before they show it 😂

Imagine if the 3 lengendary combine theory is to introduce a 3 pokemon combining device, making the background story for the original kurem combined with prehistoric reshuram and zekrom.

One thing I am happy about is how it seems the DLC will kinda be like "hey let's go on a trip" but eventually loop us back to Area Zero and those weird circles in that random cave which is just.. so glad they aren't just random things for sake of it I bet the Hidden Treasure will be the ability to wear other clothes lol

So this now makes Applin only the THIRD Pokemon with at least 3 branched evolutions, the other 2 being Eevee with 8 and Tyrogue with 3

I just realized while watching the indigo mask trailer you can see the same henge in sword and shield that you use to evolve galarian yamask, so it might be in the dlc

For anyone unaware, it was datamined a couple weeks ago that If Mew were to enter a 7* Mewtwo Tera raid, you'd get the Pop up message "It looks like Mew is going to go all out against this foe!" This translates to a 50% boost to Mew's Max HP, and a 20% boost to all of Mew's other Stats that can't be canceled when Mewtwo does the tera raid thing where it resets your stats. They're really trying to get us to do "Mew vs Mewtwo" by giving Mew a god tier boost.

The original Duraludon was based off a tower. This Duraludon is the London Bridge I think Also I think Briar is related to Brassius hence the names and the thorny hair Edit: OH MY GOODNESS PERRIN IS DEFINITELY THE DECENDANT OF ADAMAN 😱. Also Drayton is probably related to Drayden seeing that they have white hair, yellow eyes, and a liking to dragon types

The “regional form” of Duraludon and Applin are actually new evolutions. I thought that the Paradox Raikou and Cobalion were really cool! I think that Raikou’s inspiration was from storms.

It's something I've been thinking about for a while. At the zero station you have an elevator on the right side but it looks like there should be another one the left. My guess is that will lead to a new area of area zero.

When Mew was brought in a 7* Mewtwo Raid, the text will pop up and says: *Mew is going all-out against a formidable opponent* Mew gets +50% on HP and +20% in other stats.

I do love that the #1 Legends ship sailed, look at Perrin's hair, it's a blend of Adaman's and Irida's!

I really hope the trading cable from Legends is brought back in one of the DLCs. Legends was the first game I could use trade evolutions and I'd like to use them again.

Fun fact: Kita-Kami in Japanese roughly translates to "god of the forests." Overall, this area seems very heavily inspired by Japan, though I couldn't say for SURE where, and it seems like the the Festival of Masks is based on Tanabata.

If you do the math,a duralodon holding an eviolite will have more base stat total than the pseudolegendary Pokemon. It is going to be pretty op

You can’t believe how loud I screamed when I saw clefairy and dipplin I love both of those Pokémon and their lines so much, more specifically clefairy. (Clefable is my favorite Pokémon)

I am super happy that they are bringing back the poliwag line in the dlc as well as making them catchable in game because poliwag is one of my favorite pokemon and I have a shiny of all 4 evolution line members in PoGo which I would love to bring into SV. The poliwag line is the only one of my favorite lines that isn't in SV yet and now it is!
