On the STROMER St2 and ST3 is a shift yourself drive and the ST7 pinon is too but on the ST7 pinon and the new ST5 pinon is a set automatic downshift, but you don’t have to have it automatically downshift you can downshift and upshift it and STROMER Pinons are just the gearbox not a mid drive. And you adjust the pinon on the STROMER. So basically Lectric just copy what STROMER did. I don’t think it has Spenton fork on them. Little tires is going to help and I think the frames too small for them speech but I could be wrong. It’s just my opinion but the back motor is a direct drive so they’re basically copying pasting everything as drummer dead, two years ago and wrong with it. This is what they’re doing.

A STROMER cost $12,000 Lectric $2,000.

@@STEVE15381326 oh that’s what you think ok. Which one is $12,000 tell me what Stromer is $12,000. Because I know which one it is there’s 2 models at that price point, but you didn’t mention which one it was you just said Stromer’s which leads me to believe you don’t know what Stromer it is now you’re gonna look it up and then you can see the extra benefits, but you’re not really gonna know what the extra benefits are unless you go ride one, I’m willing to ride Lectric one and give a fair shake. Are you with a STROMER?

From my understanding this motor was dubbed the " Stealth m24" because its power and speed are very difficult to actually feel or see until its right next to you, along with a 40 mile per hour tailwind. I don't know, I'd probably buy one regardless, why not.

@@ronj2935 i still haven’t seen anyone open it up. Probably different material for the gears , or something to do with the controller, maybe its a sine wave controller or something?? It seems ok they have it in the xpeak , The m24 thing

I commute with a jetson bolt pro in a city 10 miles each way and know it’s limitations. I use pedal assist for most of the ride and only throttle when I feel the need to. For my next commuting e-bike I know that I would like less maintenance, more speed and power and more range. Plus it has to be IPX 65 rated for rain. The lectric one hits almost all of what I would want.

the lectric looks nice, with the belt drive. Something like a Grin All Axle Hub motor could work well also. Direct drive hub motor would give you regen braking, saving you a lot of brake pad maintenance. If you don't like chains and the maintenance and oily messyness, you can use a drip wax like white lightning clean ride / squirt lube / finish line ceramic wax etc. Some kind of wax based lube. And then it makes chains much more managable and less messy. Works better as well. Just have to re apply the wax stuff kind of often But its quick. Thanks for this comment it gets me thinking about commuting and stuff Id like to do a video talking about low maintenance economical ebikes some time.

Ride for example 1 hour with exactly the same power once with the chain and once with the belt: The chain makes more miles, because it's more efficient. A belt has to run straight, if not the whole drivetrain will be making problem. A chain on the other hand is pretty flexible. Lots of people change from belts back to chains.

With the Lectric One you can go around cities a little bit. But is not the e-bike for long commutes. The Pinion gearbox and Gates beltdrive are nice, but are more for touring than just cities. 20"-wheels, small battery, average motor - all for the city. The Lectric One is something and nothing at the same time and this starting at $ 1'999,-, quite a lot of money. Big industry, but not on e-bike that is from A to Z just great. Price and really performance just come not together. If you really want to do rides and miles, you have to upgrade. Upgrading is a huge waste. Who wants weak parts? Nobody. And also just few people would buy cars for upgrades. This e-bike industry is insane, they producing one after the other e-bike that is maybe halfway good. Still the best is, what you do, EBikeBuilder: Build your own bikes. You get good performance for a good price.

Great review dude. I've never watched your channel before but you are either "on something, or on to something " You did a great job of talking me out buying this new bike ! What kind of Aventon do you have? I would really be interested in what your thoughts are on the Ephere robin +?
@EBikeBuilder_
@EBikeBuilder_ 5 месяцев назад
I'd get the Lectric ONE over the euphree city robin X, thats a 500w motor probably, it says 900w peak so maybe a 19 amp controller. The Lectric ONE i think is a 24amp controller. and its got that crazy gearbox at the 2k price point. Only thing about the Lectric is i think they only go 28MPH. and some other bikes at the 2k price point can go a lot faster if thats y9our thing. On something, and onto something

I totally disagree about the tires. 26x4 looks like a motorcycle. Maybe it is one? The should focus on 22x3.
@EBikeBuilder_
@EBikeBuilder_ 5 месяцев назад
i have 26x 4 tires on my dual motor fat bike. But i wouldn't really recommend them for commuting? I don't think i did? Personally I like 29 x 2.5' on an MTB but to each their own. I get why they use 20" tires they are much less weight, smaller, torquier, thats why alot of ebikes are 20" wheels its an easy way to get torque just by using a smaller wheel. 22x3 is a weird size i bet its fun shopping for those tires
@Srrrrrrr...
@Srrrrrrr... 5 месяцев назад
@@EBikeBuilder_ Yeah being my only transportation for the past 3 years I just don't like getting pulled over. But, even if I do I'm at that "mo-ped" 28 mph limit. I just made up that 22x3 thing. I never see anything but 20s and 26s.

Chain stay has to separate to get the belt on. Notice the small crossbar to strengthen the downtube. They should have done the same thing for the step thru XPeak to prevent the wobble.

Apples 🍎 and Oranges 🍊 The lectric is locked down to class 3 and 28mph, whereas people want those other bikes for the unlocked top speed. I mean i don’t really want a 28mph bike either, its a perfect speed to get killed by a car , i gotta go fast 💨

Yeah they do there’s a European brand E bike company called flyer not theUS flyer, but the bike is called flyer. I believe it’s either Swiss or it’s Dutch but it has the pinion mid drive motor and it peeks at I believe 690 W or 700 W but again you didn’t do your research that’s OK I’ll find it for you and I’ll post it on here for you. It’s OK but please do your research I try to do mine don’t always believe what you hear and please don’t get mad, it is what it is if you like the bike, then heck go buy it and I wish you the best and I hope you have many miles to ride on it

I might have eat humble pie on this one, sir. It was supposed to come out this year. I swear I saw it for sale and I’m gonna keep looking cause I know I saw it that you could buy it right now, but I wonder if something happen to delay it, but I’m gonna give you this one because I have to meant to you be right there doesn’t come on till next year for the mid drive but they do make a mid drive geared motor but I swear I saw it like last October. I thought I could buy it like a say going to eat humble pie on this.

Oh ok we were both right and wrong about the mid drive motor from pinon. It’s available in Europe. It should be coming late 2024, and that makes sense because Stromer does this to and gazelle. Now I’m a Stromer guy, so one the new ST2 pinon was announced. They only sold them in Europe first and then we got them. I think like six months later.from what I’m reading. But unfortunately if you don’t live over in Europe you can’t get them intill like six months from now or maybe this summer for the USA. We were both right and wrong.

They really put the other pinion bikes to shame with the price, too bad they made the rear rack so weak. That adjustable stem doesn't inspire much faith, either... Not a bad option for going car-lite if the gearbox keeps you rolling, but I have enough confidence in the chain system. The auto shift would be superb for stop and go, though
@EBikeBuilder_
@EBikeBuilder_ 6 месяцев назад
yeah for stop and go, that gearbox would be so good. I thought it was crazy how the stem was getting loose for multiple people. I think the riders in question were jumping curbs though 🤣

Yeah it’s a gear hud motor I was wrong about that. But I did do my research on it to find out for sure. And it looks like they’re using steel gears for the hud motor but I could be wrong.

It should be a mid drive motor like engwe did recently on the p275 pro.

They had that xpremium with the 500w mid drive, but it was weak…. They need at least 750w bbs02 type of motor. I think they stopped selling the xpremium.

@mitchellwilson12354
@mitchellwilson12354 6 месяцев назад
Yeah DIY is basically always way better than production bikes, I built my first E-Bike for ~$600 including the bicycle. It was 1200w and went 30mph with a throttle only range of 25-30 miles. IMO this was better than any road legal production bike which are limited to 750w 28mph and costed $1200+ at the time.
