I’m thinking your bike must have experienced a hard drop during shipping to cause the bolts to shear. And that would explain the separation of the cable to the rear light. Fix the bolts and you’ll be able to reconnect your cable. Our front fender came in one of the packing boxes. They could’ve put some kind of sticker on it! We ordered ours March 2nd and it arrived March 9th! Everything well packed. My wife needs a shorter reach so she can sit more upright and not put pressure on neck and shoulders like in a normal biking posture, so has her seat lower. That was actually a selling point for us. We added bottle cage, phone holder, and mirrors. To save your battery, use PAS 1-3 instead of 5! Good to hear you like the ride and feel of this bike!

I recently purchased an xPeak High Step and I love it. I have 148 miles on her and it running nice. The only problem I've had is the come apart of the front brake couter pin worked loose holding the brake pads in place. I contacted Lextric in Phoenix and they shipped me a complete front brake replacement in only 3 days. Excellent customer support and I really appreciate it. I've had three ebikes and this one is a keeper. The only mod I've done is I changed out the stock seat and replaced it with a bit more cusssh.

Richard, really appreciate your initial review of this bike. I was so tempted to preorder this bike but I couldn't because it wasn't a torque sensor. Based on this review I need to take a serious look. I need to look at pricing again. Thanks so much, Rich

For what it's worth, I received my wife's step through XPeak on Friday. Didn't have any issues with the packaging or damage to the bike, though I have to slightly agree that the front tire needed a bit of work to get installed. This is our irst ebike and having a blast with it. (My high step arrives next week)

I'm curious if you watched Lectric Service Center video, XPEAK First Ride. Might check that out. Answers a lot of questions. I puchased 2 of them with no issues. I see the unfortunate issues you've had, I'm really surprised. Good luck with everything.

I lucked out on my xpedition it came flawless. I was so nervous because of the direct to consumer. But I did have a flat tire end of the season just fixed it and sold the bike now I’m on the hunt for my new ebike. I may consider this bike !! Great review !!!

Glad to see more thru axles being used by the big ebike brands. Pain to get on for a fat tire but gives more peace of mind to the rider. Not a bad deal for this price range. I've had bolts shear off on my disc brake then replaced with titanium bolts. That should resolve this issue after it's drilled and tapped.

For us the front tire was 30sec to install. we have no problems. We are very happy with ours. the customer service was the best.

The fender is in a box that also is a protective box, I almost trashed the first bike, I noticed on the second bike.

my bike is awesome - got over the fact that it took a while to get here - even though I live in Chandler - lectric was waiting for pickup from FedEx. we put on the back rack and decided to switch to the smaller basket. dont like the seat that comes with the xpeak - but that is not a big deal - no scratches no dents

Also got 2 bikes. Step thru went super smooth. Got the wheel on myself. I too almost threw out the front fender on the first bike. When my step over arrived a few days later I discovered the secret box with the front fender. My step over arrived with a functioning but cracked display which lectric is replacing. Also had a weird scraping in the front and turned out after some back and forth with lectric that the front wheel spacer was stuck on the wheel protector> also some of the directions are not quite right. Also the lock doesn't fit on the bike anywhere also working out the light. BUT once it's all together had a blast riding this weekend. Feels great. Smooth. More pick up than I even need. Plan to have lots of fun on it!

Thank you for the honest review. How do you feel about battery life? I have the XP 3.0 with the extended battery and it's plenty for my needs, but this bike has wider and larger tires, which will reduce the range.

Swap out the short bolts on the frame (for the bottle cage and behind the seat) with the bolts for the rear rack. The bigger round head is better suited to hold a little more pressure on the rear rack and should remedy the bolt head shearing off issue. ***An extra bonus is then you have bolts long enough to mount the lock housing to the top bar on the high step model.

They stand behind their bikes. I have a Exp 3.0 step through and I plan on getting one of these.

Go to p 8 and turn it up to 100 and you will go to 28 pedaling!

Same screws were sheared off on my XPeak. Although, Lectric was not as helpful. They sent new screws which up ended up being the wrong screws. Even sent pictures. I ended up using a screw extractor set and was able to remove them myself.

i got 1 of 2 xpeaks, the step thru. it's pwr motor assist behaviour limits based on motor wattage or speed, whichever comes first and each mode has specific limits on each. throttle is limited to 20 and pedal assist is limited to 28 at pas 5. there is no way to force throttle only to 28 properly. you can probably trick it with tire size set smaller. i changed the rotors out to 203mm because the 180's weren't stopping nice. two things I've noticed so far I'm not happy with. 1. the pedals come really close to the front tire and i can easily have my shoes hit the tire when turning sharp. 2. the tires, while nice for off road, feel really rubbery if you wiggle the handle bars on asphalt. this is something you might experience at 18+mph and the wobble resonates and could become dangerous. I'm testing with the step thru. i plan to move to some street tires i have but we wanted to test the stock ones first. I've trued up these wheels too and this effect is extremely pronounced. I'm inflated to about 18psi since I'm only riding it on the road. anyway, other than those observations, mine has been great and i had no problem with shipping. the front fender is easy to miss and throw away with the box, it's super light and is inside what looks like a filler box, but i had everything. my step over i think is set to be shipped at the end of the month. and yea, we're looking into supplemental batteries. it's not terribly difficult to wire in a dual battery dongle to the xpeak, just a bit annoying on where to put it without sacrificing your rear basket or entire water bottle area. front light is great btw.

Could the rear light wire have unplugged when the rack came off it’s bolts?

I am debating the step over verse step through for ease of getting on bike and added weight on back rack. I have 12 shoes and the front tire being close is a concern.

How long do you think a fully loaded XP with the long range battery could go just pushing it on walk mode?

Are you talking about the front wheel? Or just the tire? Flat tire?

I would have insisted that Lectric send me a new bike. Period!

The separate order may have been as a result that they knew they may not have everything you ordered in stock. Maybe you will end up with a extra set.

The fender is hiding in a what looks like packing material.

The wiring is a bummer.

Did your daughter have any issues with the weight? It’s a heavy bike!

Is the XPeak as quiet as it sounds? I have an XP 2.0 and love it but it is not quiet.

they know they used CHEAP ASS materials and thats why the TREND is happening.. there shouldnt be this many shortcuts when were paying TOP DOLLAR COME ON !! thanks for telling the truth .. this has set me free... im already prepared to upgrade that part when mine comes.. these hat holes need to do better
