Why does my long range 3.0 have less power? The thing won't even go to 19mph on throttle only. My 2.0 would fly, the 3.0 feels weak.

That's why I bought an XP 2.0. But admittedly I've been upgrading ever since in an attempt to find satisfaction. (Upgraded freewheel, much needed extra battery, and most of all 1000w front hub motor.) Sorry lectric, your controller, battery size, and that weak ass 500w motor is why I'd pass on another one. 😢

No, not yet. Haven't really ridden my bike because I don't have a garage. I have 3 front steps and it's hard to take it up-and-down the steps to go out to ride it so it stays folded up in a large tote

@@dexfoster7435 G-Force T42 is basically the XP 3.0 on steroids! Unfortunately, it's sold out now but should be available again in March. The chart in the Amazon T42 add shows the T42 to be their fastest bike.

@@dexfoster7435 I bought the 11.2AH T42 special last Nov. Black Friday sale with $50 off on Jeremiah Mcintish discount. I think they were getting rid of the small batteries. All are now 20AH and more expensive. Torque is rated in nm. T42 750/1100W is 80 nm torque, Lectric 3.0 500/1000W is 55 nm torgue. (hill climbing ability)

0 seconds ago Definitely do that!!! I added a 20AH Battery to a rear rack that I installed. For connections I went simple no electronic boxes or monitors. I connected the stock battery ground to ground on my new Aux battery, Added an ON OFF ON toggle to my controller box as it had enough room, ran Positive controller wire to center terminal and then the remaining battery positive leads one on outer terminal, the other positive battery lead to the other outer terminal of toggle switch. Cool thing if you leave it off it acts as a kill switch as neither battery gets power so if someone tried to hop on your bike, power it on nothing would happen. It’s located just below my Seat post so if one battery runs out while riding I just reach down flick a switch and restart the bike. I’ve done this while in motion at anywhere from 6-7 mph- like 16 mph. Simple and takes 4-6 sec

No u won't have to change the wires. Just slide it all back on the new bars. It's pretty easy.

lower the front tires pressure by about 5 psi from what you normally do on the rear and you will find a much comfier ride. Thank me later. (tire pressure should not be lower than 20 psi or you will most definitely find a flat.) anyways, thank me later

@@DavidBrandNew The folding feature seems more a drawback than a feature. I get the idea though, with such a tiny range, you can't just leave straight from home or you will never get there. Your vid is good, but it reminds me of why I am never an early adopter. I will look in a year or two and see if they have usable range by then.

Harbor Freight sells rolls of double sided velcro that is about an inch wide. I use a section of that to tie the back end together.

Yeah, that's one of my biggest complaints -- that the bike swings open and freely and flops all over the place when the folding hinge is unlocked, making it difficult, if not impossible, to handle when trying to load it into my car.

Well Some people ride motorcycles even while NOT wearing helmets which to me is a death wish! My Ebike at best can do 28-30 DOWN HILL. Flat ground to stick to 16-18 mph. At that speed I don’t use a helmet. Some do no matter what speed they ride. To each his/her own I suppose

For one I never mentioned the word SAFE. A helmet can help protect one’s head from more serious injuries in a fall / crash. That’s what it’s purpose is, no more no less. I agree with what you said though 1000% that riding safely is one’s greatest protection, period!!!!! This summer - early Fall I put on over 1,300 miles with just ONE close call. An idiot in a pick up truck passed me then decided to make a fast RIGHT TURN just as I was approaching to pass the same street he was turning down. I was doing about 22 mph and slowed fast as I could but it wasn’t enough so split second reflex/ action I turned WITH HIM while I then came to a full stop. It’s as if he didn’t even see me on the road. I didn’t yell, beep my horn or anything as that might have distracted him further and he may have hit someone else or something down that street. I just stopped turned around went about 40 feet back to the main road I was on and proceeded about my business. I do a lot of boardwalk riding an it amazes me the amount of reckless bikers/scooter riders that rip down the board walk doing 20-25 mph even fast with some higher powered Ebikes on busy days with families and little kids walking everywhere!! All it takes is one little child to run away from their parents while these jerks are racing down the boardwalk and that child could be seriously injured or killed. I ride sensibly and carefully at all times. Here’s my rule of the road. Pedestrians ALWAYS have to be yielded to even if they’re in the wrong. Bikes and cars should always do this. Next cars should be extra cautious of bikes, Ebikes, motorcycles as we have the least protection and are most vulnerable. You’d think this is common sense but sadly it’s not. Last EVERYONE has to LOOK and be aware!!!!!! This is key. Get off your phone, don’t stare at your copilot in the car or person riding his/her bike next to you. Pay attention ahead of you. Even when I shift out of my lane on a trail or bike lane/path I always turn me head like when I drive my car in case someone is overtaking me at that instant I’m not cutting them off. So few do this it’s irritating

You’re welcome! I’m in NYC (Queens) and for one you never know who has a gun, knife, road rage mentality etc. so it pays to ride safely and respectfully for that alone! Lol. I’ve found some of the most obnoxious and “entitled” ones to be groups riding their $5000+ pedal bike with the spandex 1/4 helmets racing around everyone and everything. One jerk told me I should move over onto the grass when I see a group of “avid cyclists” trying to pass. Lolololol. I smiled at them all and nodded and said “ ohh uhhh no English “. 😂😂 the last rider said “go back to where you came from “. Lololol little did he know I was born raised and lived in Queens my entire 57 years on this planet. I call the spandex entitled crowd the “Tour de Assholes”. Lol. Now don’t get me wrong like any stereotyped group there’s very lovely, polite rule following spandex / race bike people. Just like not all Ebikers are jerks but we get hated on due to the previously mention morons that race around doing 20,25 even 30+ mph on trails , sidewalks, paths etc when NOT safe to do so! I’ll keep doing what I’m doing as I want to live well into my Golden Years in good health

@@DavidBrandNew eu legality. Yes it would be more powerful, but then they would have to have separate logistics for USA and Europe. This is why they kept the same 500w base motor with an increase in peak output. It's also why there's a "passenger" mode. You can access a little more juice out of the motor for those hauls. Frankly the next improvement I wanna see is more weather resistance

We bought our son the new gotrax F1 V2. Shipped it was $735. But it only comes with a 350 watt motor. The 500 watt f2 v2 Is $900. Our son has had no problems with his F1 We received it with absolutely no problems He loves it. But he only has 100 miles on it. But he got over 40 miles his 1st charge. It has a 10.4 amp hour battery. Obviously the motor is small and the bike weighs less so it draws less power.

@@DavidBrandNew but it’s still the same motor as the 2.0? Because it clearly says under the upgrades part that they upgraded the motor from 500 to 1000. There’s a lot idk about that kinda stuff but hey there’s a reason my 2.0 broke down after a year and I decided to stay with them and get the 3.0.

Love your videos man. Im thinking about checking your stem out. How would them bmx bars be for long range travel? I ride 19 miles a day for work.

@@skankhuntdave7232 thats a good deal. Bmx bars feel more comfortable and stable than the stock bars. Its perfect for long rides. Get the Turtle Neck Stem XL if you are concerned about handlebar height.
